Why is Kovalev shot because he lost 3 fights?

I swear posters slam Floyd saying"being undefeated only means you never took risk" So DAMN!!! which is it??? Kovalev took risks right?? he is the same age as GGG but took the harder fights and as a result took some losses..you cant pick and choose when to say losses are bad or they dont matter... this forum is biased as hell

Honestly, his punch resistance is shhh. He’s been rocked in his last few fights after not being rocked for a very long time. Lifestyle choices and aging don’t blend well. He’s an old 36 by comparison to a young 36 for Floyd. My older brother is a year older than me but we look ten years apart, he drinks and parties and I take care of myself.

I don't know if I would say Alvarez or Mikhalkin or Yarde is taking risks seems like he can't take a punch anymore his fight against Yarde convinced me he is about done a brutal KO about to happen

I wouldnt say shot, he is boxing as good as ever, just not the fear factor from opponents after he was stopped, they all are a bit more reserved after being stopped, that first defeat is a ball breaker for a lot of unbeaten guys, it takes that deep grit away, still a very capable fighter no way shot just not what he was in one way, and better in others.

3 of his last 7, knocked out twice.

He also almost lost to Anthony Yarde, who’s awful and doesn’t even have a background in amateur boxing.

                Last 8 fights for Kov
                Ward (2)
                Eleider
                Eieider
                Chilemba
                Yarde
                Mikhalin
                Shabranksy

                GGG last 8 fights
                Canelo (2)
                Jacobs
                Lemieux
                Brook
                Vanes
                Rolls
                Wade

That looks like roughly the same exact level of opponent to me over the last 8...the rest of their names aren't too much different either over the course of their careers...GGG just has a few more overall wins, and about 5 more good wins imo

He is shot. You love Canelo and hate GGG so you want to have everybody believe what a great fight Kovalev still is so when Canelo knocks him out you can declare it one of the greatest wins in history. Even now you are trashing GGG and building up Kovalev by saying Kovalev took more risks and took harder fights which is BS. GGG made 20 title defenses and that's a hell of a lot more than Kovalev. Some of the twenty guys he fought were not very good but many of them were damn good fighters that GGG haters have turned into bums after he knocks them out. I followed Kovalev since he first won the title and seen all his fights since then. I know damn well he is shot now and just a shell of the bad MFer he used to be. The old Kovalev would not have been KOed by Alvarez or struggled with Yarde. The old Kovalev would be the betting favorite to beat Canelo. Today's Kovalev is a 4 to 1 underdog because the betting places study fighters and they know Kovalev is shot and will likely get KOed with a body attack from boxing's best body puncher.
