Maybe because it was a cw and nelo was green. And Floyd won't get credit for win perhaps.
Did you actually read thread title? About Floyd and lack of risks?

So canelo fighting a 40 year old floyd at 160 means something for canelo??? But a 36 year old floyd fighting a 23 year old UNIFIED/RING champ means nothing????

Why you doing this to me? Doesn't everyone want to fight 41 year old PAC now?
You can't force people to be impressed with Floyd beating a green nelo with a cw? If Floyd beat Nelo at 160 and people weren't impressed then you could call them a hater. Like we can call people who weren't impressed with PACs win over thurman

The Winky Wright negotiations is a lot more related to Pacquiao, being that it was Bob Arum up to his old tricks again. The same Bob Arum who kept Manny Pacquiao away from Floyd for as long as he could.

If Floyd was active and a champ then he would be a rightful target...but the guy retired as he knew it was over...and you dont give floyd credit for beating Manny himself...why??

Explain what happened when Floyd was begging Manny to negotiate the fight before his prison term. You know...when Arum was busy talking about cuts taking an extraordinary time to heal and the need for huge, new outdoor stadiums, and reporting that Pacquiao turned down the offer to negotiate to instead go after Marquez, saying that the Floyd fight will always be there....

Only problem was Pac got knocked into Bolivian.

I'm sure it's Floyd's fault that Pacquiao and his team outright refused to negotiate, right? I'm sure I can pull up the info. with Floyd calling Pac out, and Pac's team responding that the Mayweather fight would always be there, and that Pac chose Marquez. So who do you blame for that?

Fighting De La Hoya, Cotto, and Canelo in his 5th weight class wasn't a risk?

Of course I know floyds retired. I am talking at the time people thought Floyd should have fought for 160 title. Nobody asking him to do it today.
Floyd gets as much credit for his win over PAC as horn and Bradley did. A wins a win but how you win counts a lot for whether people with rave about it or not.

Floyd schooled Canelo who is now the biggest star in the game. And that's just one guy on his resume.
