I respectfully disagree with your other assertions as well...I think Canelo has largely picked most of his opponents, and fought them on his terms/weight, and many were past their best...even then he struggled to convincingly separate from them in the match, even if he did win some close decisions imo...in GGG's case, I think he faced about 15 guys of good/similar quality to Canelo's group (GGG probably has a few more tough fights on his list imo as he has a few years on Canelo), and KOed and ran through them all...when any other fighter, even ATGs, have runs like that, they usually lose one or two etc.
Canelo is a really good fighter and imo he showed that by competing well vs GGG in both fights...I felt he was pretty clearly the loser in both fights but I was impressed with him and he had his moments...I think he has showed his quality before and since that as well...but imo GGG has been more impressive before those fights as far as career goes.
It will be interesting to see what their careers/futures hold! Hope they mix it up once or twice more.
