Gatti or Vargas, who had the better career?

Both of these warriors seem to be on the verge of retirement. So if they were to retire today, which one do you think had the better career?Gatti or Vargas?

    Arturo's key wins-Tracy Patterson,Gabriel Ruelas,Micky Ward,Joey Gamache,Leo Dorin.

    Fernando's key wins-Ike Quartey,Winky Wright(questionable),Luis Campas,Raul Marquez.

I would say Gatti due to his big wins and miraculous comebacks but Vargas had some very big wins also, Gatti had that bit more heart than vargas did

Gatti was funner to watch, but Vargas beat the better opponents (Quartey, Wright) by far

I was leaning towards Gatti. He definetly had the longer career.

            I'd say Gatti

Vargas had better opponents but Gatti was a more exciting fighter and his knockouts were viscious!

              Two BUMS.

I doubt either of them would've won the Contender Series 1.

MASSIVELY overrated fighters who got found out anywhere near the top level. Which was always enjoyable to watch.

Vargas in my opinion.....Gatti's so called comeback wins are against nobodys.

Vargas battled Wright, DLH, Trinidad, Quartey...and gave them a competetive fight.

In terms of career quality, I've got to give it to Vargas pretty clearly. Vargas beat a prime Ike Quartey and a good Winky Wright and gave tough fights to both Trinidad and DLH near their primes. Gatti was destroyed by DLH in his prime. Gatti's best win is against Tracey Patterson who is nowhere near the fighters that Vargas beat. Gatti gets credit in my book for his heart and the longevity of his career. But if we are strictly judging on quality then I go with Vargas.
