We'll see what the other fights are, tbh.

He got the Rolls bum fight first, he's got Derevyanchenko next, and Canelo has made it absolutely clear that Golovkin can go **** himself on a third fight.

We'll see what DAZN forces him to take for those last 4 fights.

It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds though!
Cotto-Alvarez, Canelo-Chavezjr, and the two Golovkin fights all did over 1m buys. The Fielding fight likely would've been a bust, but the Jacobs fight (New York would've helped the novelty) and this coming Kovalev fight all have chances to get to a million homes, as would a third Golovkin fight in all likelihood. (And a PPV share brings Jermall Charlo, Zurdo Ramirez, and Errol Spence Jr as viable PPVs)

Price to not see what the market would bare was $35m

Yeah it would be interesting to know how Jacobs/Canelo would have done...and also Kov/Canelo...I didn't realize that Cotto and Canelo did the fewest buys out of those 3 fights, that is surprising to me...I guess the Chavez fight numbers shows Chavez Jr still sells pretty well.

Looks like that one maybe made $80 million before the gate...and the gate was about $10 million...surprised overall it was that high...I think GGG-Nelo did over $100 million each time and the gate sales and revenue were higher in the 2nd fight which I initially was a bit surprised to find out.

But yeah maybe Canelo could find a way to generate close to 1 million sold PPVs for quite a few fights...that seems to be a number which would put the revenue around $100 million, and then his $35 million per fight number becomes much more manageable.

I think him and Kov would do fairly well as a PPV because it is sort of an offset of GGG fans who would be buying that one as well...could certainly see it close to 1 million...I wonder how him vs Jacobs would have done...whatever that level was, it would probably be similar if he were facing Spence, Charlo, and a few others.

But I hope the high-priced PPV model is gone forever lol! I am just one personally who would never pay over $50 bucks for one fight again...more than likely...but I would gladly pay $20 bucks or so for quite a few fights...Spence Crawford, GGG Canelo, AJ Ruiz etc.

We will see how it all goes!

Yeah that's gonna be interesting imo...what DAZN does with GGG if they really can't force the Canelo fight...I hope he goes up to 168 and faces Smith, I would like that fight and I think it would sell well

Translation: With DAZN on board we probably cannot pay off the judges a third time and I am still having nightmares of GGG that I keep ****ting my pants every time his name gets mentioned.

Kind of makes for great theatre...I assume they will all find a way to work together, and we should get some good/great fights.
A lot depends on how Oscar and Golden Boy handle the situation. They have dropped the ball on several occasions. It is hard to believe with all the technology available that they have not kept Canelo and his people informed. As for DAZN, Skipper's fixation with a third GGG fight and not approving other worthwhile fights for n September caused unnecessary friction. We shall see.
