Canelo is ballsy and has a granite chin. He's going to need it to get inside of that jab from Kova. Even a very good version of SOG had trouble doing that.

Canelo dares to be great but he is making a huge mistake here.

He couldn`t hurt old Cotto, Mayweather, Jacobs, GGG, Lara, how the hell is he planning to hurt Kovalev???

Outbox by body shots? Much bigger man with bigger reach? That is insane.

There’s probably a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we don’t know about. Kovalev probably taking a lot of money to take an L and then he hangs em up. Like everyone is saying Canelo can’t knock out anyone who’s worth a F let alone someone that much bigger than him. He doesn’t throw more than Kovalev doesn’t hit harder.

After my initial skepticism, I'm beginning to get very excited about this fight. Probably the fighters will be within 5 pounds of each other. Kovalev will have a height and reach advantage but Canelo will have youth and quickness. I have to favor Canelo but not by much. If Kovalev really is motivated, and I believe he is, this could be a classic.

And yet when they spent 2/3rds of the fight holding and wrestling, Kovalev was mostly the one going forward and backing Ward up...

I hope Kovalev brings his best game and beats the red out of Canelo.

This fight is is pure entertainment but it doesn't get us any closer to knowing who is the best middle weight. Without a unification the best is the best marketed.

I think so too. His last real chance to stamp a legacy if you accept that at his age, he most likely cannot unify 175.
