Comments Thread For: Carlos Takam Aims For Bigger Things After U.S. Debut Win

At the Resorts World Catskills Epicenter on Saturday night, Carlos Takam made his United States debut against the granite chinned, Detroit native, Craig Lewis (now 14-4 7KO's). The two went to battle from the opening bell. Takam wasted no time showing off his impressive agility, especially for a 255 lb. heavyweight. By round two, Takam took control, landing an overhand right that could be heard echo through the majestic mountains of the New York Catskills.

Takam is just an average guy hardly worth a thread unless fringe contenders are important to you. He is about a number 25 contender and will never be a champion and may never get another title shot unless a champ wants a Fury type cherry pick. He will beat lousy fighters and lose to good fighters every time. He is a main event fighter and a decent stepping stone for good up coming heavyweights. He makes a good living boxing but he just is not very important.

An article like this is better than reading 2,639 Fury/Wilder/Joshua puff pieces every day.

                WAR TAKAM!!

There will always be a place for the TAKAMS of this world.
                Boxing needs them.

You want to see if you HW prospect is a fraud or has substance , send him to the school of TAKAM!
If he passes, he may have a future otherwise a waste of time.

Always enjoy Takam fights. Sure he's not a champ but he brings it when he gets in the ring. First time I saw him was his draw against Mike Perez when he Carlos was sporting blonde facial hair. Perez was coming off the Magomed fight and didn't seem to want to be in the ring.

His fight against Del Boy was something. Dominating Chisora until Dereck nearly took his head off.

It was a good night of boxing. Takam looked sharp and "action" Anthony Laureano and Richie "popeye the sailor man" Rivera continue winning. Kudos to STAR boxing.
