It’s the open class. Literally any boxer could compete at HW. Turns out however, that even though they may not appear to be very good, they beat everyone else pretty easily.

I’ve been following boxing for a long time, through a lot of different eras and the criticism hasn’t changed. Most HWs don’t fight like other fighters from other divisions (probably something to do with physics), if that’s what you expect, prepare to be disappointed.

The HW is far more interesting now than when Wlad ruled the division.

If you don't like the fights, just don't watch them, and stfu.

That would be Brock Lesnar 😂 & a former NFL player in Greg Hardy is knocking out professional fighters now.

Stipe would get knocked out by D Wilder and I'm not even a fan of Deontay's

Nostalgia is the reason why a lot of you can't shut up.

This is the best HW division since the 90s. And with how everyone can be beaten, it's shaping up to be the greatest HW era. In the next 2-3 years, it's gonna be super nuts.

It's a great division. Much better than the overrated 90's. Take Bowe for example, did nothing in his career except for having 3 fights with great cruiserweight Evander Holyfield. Mike Tyson, did nothing in his career except beat up some bums then lose to anybody half decent. Lennox Lewis was great, but this era is much better. Take off those nostalgic glasses.

Buster Douglas would be around 20-30 HW now, and he beat Tyson very easily, sure everybody makes excuses, but Douglas had tools that Mike could not deal with. Tyson could destroy C and D level fighters better than anybody in history, but he himself is only B level, he just had the tools to deal with people below him in emphatic style.

When he faces A level guys -Holyfield and Lewis he was outclassed, and even though Douglas was B level, the same as Mike, he was a stylistic nightmare for him. Facts!

The Heavyweight division has never been the premier division based on skill but rather power. If you want to watch highly skilled boxers you watch smaller guys. That's why p4p has existed for as long as formal weight classes. That's Sullivan-NPDempsey era.

Joe Louis was a badass. I assume that's what the 40s nod is?

Boxing HW certainly do own baddest man on the planet. MMA is a still going through growing pains and has yet to accept there is no such thing as "MMA boxing". Boxing is totally capable of dealing with grappling. I don't know why people assume the English just simply woke up one day and thought Ya know what's a great a idea, a fighting sport with just punching from the waist up. Boxing evolved into a punch only sport because it turns out punching is all you need. MMA will get there when they give up their silly believes handed to them from 80s mullet and bandana wearers whose credentials consist of paid for accolades from dojos and stories about street fighting.....80s bandana wearing streetfighters huh? Got them a black belt in StreetFighter Alpha and got to train a bunch of clueless lugs who believe there is a such thing as MMA boxing. " It looks different because in MMA, blah, blah, blah." Nah, looks different cause it's wrong, get ye to a boxing gym. Let MMA exist for 300 years and see if they're still playing grabass on the ground.

Rod Salka can get him some millions if he puts on a hundred pounds.

Ancient Pankration, Rough and Tumble, and now we gonna do it again! Every major epoch boxing has had for some reason humans seem to think we need to have a mixed rules or even no rules sport that's meant to show the world boxing and her boxers are not hands down the baddest. What always happens is the mixed rules boys get their asses handed to them in both sports.

When it makes sense for their top to fight our top they will, and they'll get whooped too. Have done for 3k years. Kleitomachos and Theaganese are boxers. Toms Molineaux and Hyer, boxers.

Right now, right this second, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Andy Ruiz would hurt them boys.

Conor McGregor and his whole ****in' team could not figure out how to punch through a 10 ounce glove, and MMA starts on the feet too. For a clever man that'd be enough. For a ****** fella the history on this should be enough. You got to be ****** and ignorant at the same time to accept this MMA **** as anything but a fun silly sideshow that's doomed to absorption.

Nothing changed much. Just there are no Klitschko brothers around. Vitali by 40 would still be top 5 guy in division, his brother also.
