Even then, a significant part of his following was driven by hate for ggg...not fans willing to pay money to watch ward. His viewership numbers show it. Hbo was pushing the guy for years, but it never caught on.

I agree. I never was a fan of either, but Ward did step up and face top guys. Tank hasn't done that. He may one day but he hasn't yet. Can't get by off the eye test.

So Davis is likely responding to that and the clip people probably sent to him and showed him they won't play him the FULL Clip where Ward also said positive things about him, they will only send him the negative stuff. With that being said, Ward job is to break things down honestly and I think he does a great job at that, I guess too well since he is pissing some fighters off.

From Davis standpoint, I get it, your trying to build up your profile and trying to build yourself up as a PPV Star and to have a guy on ESPN questioning you could be bad for business but at the same time he can just step his level of competition and all that would shut Ward up. That being said, Davis is only 24!

Where Ward looks bad...VERY BAD actually is that you will question Davis and Spence Jr Resumes but yet you have Crawford #1 P4P. I respect Ward to the fullest but this looks hypocritically when Crawford while talent wise no question he is a Top 2-3 P4P Talent, his Resume is not that great and it is getting worse when Prograis blasted out Indongo better than he did and Jeff Horn just lost to Half Boxer/Half Stripper

Boxers allow fans to instigate things, I doubt Ward Comment was about just Tank Davis, sounds like more of a comment in General

I doubt he will make more career earnings than Ward. Too small to make any noise at 135, 140, and 147. Midgets don't get paid much.

Gervonte Davis has potential to be much more popular than Andre Ward just from being where he's from. Hopefully he'll use this as motivation and the opinions of the other side of the street doesn't matter. Let them complain and hate.
