Did they check Fury's cut anytime after the 6th round?

what does that have to do anything with fury, fury had a big cut. if someone had a worse injury, that doesnt make furys cut small.

I've seen fights stopped with cuts not as bad as that one.

What about Badou Jack's cut on the Pac/Broner undercard, jesus I could see what he was thinking in that one.

You are not wrong though, if that was Otto's head would not have been surprised at all if it was stopped.
Great performance from Otto, good heart from Fury, much better fight than I expected, there were moments I thought he was in real trouble of it being stopped mid fight. It did show that Fury has real trouble putting people out.

The ESPN guy in the audience betwwen rounds asked Furys trainer about the cut, and he (Donaldson) said he thought it was a head butt. The interviewer told him the ruling was a punch. That changed Furys game plan because he knew he had to continue fighting as the fight wasnt going to get stopped and go to the cards.

              Definitely not cool by ESPN.

Your trolling right? The Vitali-Lewis fight was stopped due to a cut that wasn't as bad as that. This could permanently impair his vision.

Don't matter either way to me. Even if the fight was stopped because of that cut I don't see it derailing the Wilder fight because we all saw Fury was winning.

The problem now is how much worse did it get by allowing him to fight on a full 12 rds. Will he be ready to fight Wilder in Feb? Even if he isn't ready in Feb they'll probably take the fight anyway and that cut is going to be a problem. It's going to cut into his training and his sparring.

That is exactly what I thought as well, my understanding was initially they thought headbutt and told Fury's corner that, then they reviewed replay, saw it was a punch and changed their mind, and this wasn't communicated to the corner. If that is what happened its an issue, but to have the broadcaster actually actively interfering that is an absolute no no.
