Agreed, I'm fully convinced at this point Fury fights up or down to his opposition. He's like his little partner in crime Saunders that way.

these guys refuse to believe a better sizeable fighter gave him a run for his money, Shows the Furys really don't know a lot either at least in common sense ,bc Davison is the reason why hes back and implementing a better offense.

Tyson is gonna be alright. He's not a very good boxer and has been living off making a bum like Wilder look like a bum for too long. There's a reason why he fights bums and has never fought any good British heavyweight apart from Chisora (Chisora is more Zimbabwean than a Brit tbh). Fury is the only British boxer that avoids other Brits.
I hesitate to reply to obvious Fury haters anymore, but had to make an exception on this one. If anything, Tyson's boxing skill is his best attribute. And you'll have to admit, for a big man, his defensive skills are top notch, very slick and fleet of foot.

A highly unmotivated Fury fought with horrific cuts above his right eye for 10 of the 12 rounds and still won an easy decision, that's not too bad considering the circumstances.

All fans have their opinions of how this fight went down, the prep, the team, whatever. Mine is this.... yes I believe Fury needs a better coach. Maybe McGirt would be a good choice, as just one suggestion. Another thing, it could be Fury was just too light. It happens. In fact, I've witnessed more weak performances from fighters who have had weight related issues than probably anything else. Anything from dropping too much weight, to going north 1 or 2 divisions, to anything in between. I don't know nutrition well enough to offer suggestions, but that's what a better team would bring into focus.

IMO though, I think the biggest issue Fury had last night was the cuts. Other fans may call that eschewal, but I don't.

Looking forward to the rematch now, assuming Wilder gets past Ortiz.

So because the boxing gods (promoters) want the big fights to marinate we lost Wilder-Joshua or Fury-Joshua at its peak and now Fury seems to be wearing himself out. The matchmakers are ruining boxing and because of their carefully picked timing us boxing fans are losing out. You have to strike when the iron is hot. Fury will never be as ready for Wilder as he was if they fought a immediate rematch. Fighting lesser opponents doesn't sharpen your skills.

Take away Fury's advantages in height and reach, you've got a fairly ordinary boxer with less than average power for a heavyweight. He has world class fighting spirit though and his heart cannot be faulted.
