Your be surprised when usyk starts stopping heavyweights because his timing and work rate ......I would pretty much compare an usyk punch to a wallin punch and I know who’s punch land more and with better timing.
Holyfield moved up from cruiser and he did really well against the big guys.
Usyk could be 225 in that ring as a heavyweight and that’s more then enough to compete.
Size is only beneficial if your really good......if your not then you can easily get beat.....usyk is 6ft 4 and solid so he can easily build up another 20lb

Joyce boxes like he's rehearsing a movie fight scene at half speed, and I literally nothing exceptional in any area, stamina included. That his last outing was his first 12 rounder further puts that aspect into question. And it feels like you're doing the thing where you cite limited ability in unknown or low ranked guy as a forgone conclusion, I.e. "Fury is limited because he struggled with a guy who is low ranked and fairly obscure, and thus clearly sucks without question". Instead of addressing the reality that in this sport rankings, exposure and opportunities are often arbitrary and unfair. FTR, I'd pick the Otto Wallin I watched tonight to absolutely beat the pants off of someone like Joe Joyce.
Steve is a well known Fury hater and AJ lover, take no notice of him.

Joyce has as much chance of beating Tyson Fury as I do swimming the channel.

All I’m saying is fury should according to his rankings skate past Wallin with little difficulty and instead we found him being hurt and cut and struggling to get past him.....and Wallin really had no real power on him.
Rankings are there for a reason and Wallin is ranked over 30.......Joyce would stop Wallin and if they make that fight we bet on it
I'm definitely not part of the brigade who took to calling AJ an exposed bum overnight over the Ruiz loss. If anything Ruiz had been severely underrated and overlooked going into that fight, despite showing real glimmers of an ability to trouble Joshua in recent fights. A lot of which probably stems from the most superficial and irrelevant aspect of all, his physique, which many kneejerkedly associate with a total lack of athleticism and speed.

Anyway, you won't catch me betting my savings account on that or any fight, but if Joyce-Wallin materialized, sure, we could see about a friendly reasonable wager. Make a note of it and remind me if it comes to fruition. I like Joyce as a dude but so far absolutely nothing has really impressed me.

            • I’m surprised the ring doctor didn’t stop that fight. It looked that bad. I’m guessing he’s going to need to take a lot of time off. He’s not going to be able to spar for at least 2 months. I hope they don’t push back the rematch.

Yep will do .....I think Ruiz is dangerous for any heavyweight because he hooks hard and fast and is a great combination puncher.
If Joshua comes back and beats him then we can can say that loss was down to Joshua not being mentally in the fight.
Do you think wilder could take the explosive hooks from Ruiz ? Ruiz showed some whiskers in that Joshua fight which means he can beat any heavyweight in the division in my opinion.
For the record I think joyce is not that much but fury tonight was very poor to.
Usyk I think will be the bogey man in the division and could very well go on to take over the division.
My opinion will be when the dust settles it will be Joshua and usyk who will be the last ones at the top in 2 years time.
Fury is avoiding top heavyweights for a reason and we saw tonight why

                • I still believe Fury beats Wilder in a rematch. Wallin is more skilled fighter than Wilder, Bronze Bomber can`t do to Fury 12 rounds what Wallin did to him. Fury outboxes Wilder in a rematch.

                  • The 'Bronze-Bomber' damaged Tyson for good, its evident. What happens when Deontay Wilder hits Tyson clean again? There will be no Jack Reiss to save Fury.

Otto Wallin signals the demise of Tyson Fury.

Wait are you secretly Michael Phelps? Just ruling out a trick statement here

I think Ruiz can reach out and touch anyone at the top of the division. Even now I still don't have a concrete read on Wilder's chin, but I do know Ruiz's excellent power. So if it's a question of whether Ruiz could put Wilder down in the same way he did Joshua I really don't know, but could he touch Wilder up and make him way more timid and cautious at the very least? Absolutely. Wilder's bomb of a right will as always be the potential equalizer, but stylistically a Ruiz fight at least makes for a more exciting and fan friendly (read: casual catnip) affair than Fury.
Ruiz has maneuvered himself into a real dark horse position right now, and really Wallin made a pretty strong case for that banner himself tonight.

I share the optimism over Usyk. Hoping for great things. But I think people (including you maybe) are downplaying the extent to which that Grand Canyon eye cut was a factor in the closeness of tonight's fight. I think Fury was pretty much on his way to handling Wallin in similar fashion to Schwarz beforehand. What surprised me most was the extent to which Wallin was able and willing to capitalize on the opportunity presented by a less mobile/visually impaired Fury yanked from his rangy comfort zone. Stamina issues in tandem with Fury's surprising but welcome ferocious turn (which by no accident emerged right after Ben Davison inadvertently learning of the actual ruling on the cut in real time on air; you could practically see his eyes light up) ultimately cost him the fight, but Wallin definitely has no cause for shame and made a fan of me tonight.
