He still has a long way to go, but the title is more available to him now than it was years ago when Lewis was holding it.
    exactly

also its not as if he looks bad like joe mesi does on his comeback route

yeah his opponent was weak but he got a few rounds in and should continue to improve and come back slowly

      Keystone,

I take it your a Tua fan too? He was my favorite fighter in the world for years. I still have my Tuaman "Keep the Faith" shirt dating back to the Chris Byrd fight. The one thing, above all others, that I love about Tua is the suspense. You know where it's coming from, the left hand, but the question is WHEN. That one punch, when it lands flush with all of his weight behind it, is the most frightening blow in the heavyweight division since Earnie Shavers retired.

Man, this fight tonight had me thinking, can he do it? I would love to see Tua back at the top again, more than anyone else in the division.

Just saw the Tua fight and looked ok I guess fighting some no name can. Still the same Tua. I dont see much in terms of his style changing. The double left hook to the head and body to finish the fight was sweet. Very Mike Tyson like. Still a long way to go but with the heavyweight division lacking talent then I dont see him going anywhere but up right now if he wants to. Same guy though, he's gonna lose against much taller opposition with good boxing skills who can keep him at bay with the jab.

The Tua fight tonight was a criminal mismatch. I hope that Gutierrez is OK.

Tua is the definition of underachiever in boxing.

I'm mixed on guys carrying opponents. Overall I'm against it cause if they do it all the time they might not be able to step on the gas when they finally step up. But I understand why they carry guys sometimes.

Yep, no doubt he could've taken this guy out anytime he wanted.

Yeah, that's why you yourself must never become dependent on one punch, no matter how good it might be! You need to constantly develop them all. Keep 'em sharp and ready and honed to perfection, or at least as close to perfection as you can get them.

The king of all punches, of course, is the jab. Tua needs to work on his. So do you. Your jab can never be too good. If you have a better jab than your opponent, and you use it, you are two steps ahead of him.

Anyway how is the training going? When is your first fight again?
