He got enormous credit when he won.

But how much do you think he deserved when he was 400lbs, loaded up on every drug under the sun, and announced he was retired.

Should people have still been talking about how great he was?

I could've sworn it was closer to 3-1 (+300), but yeah, Fury was a big underdog either way

I've rewatched it a couple of times. I remember there was a boxing coach I knew at the time, saying it was a bs fight, and that it should've been a draw... I was just like 'What?', it didn't make sense to me that a coach couldn't appreciate what he was seeing. I think it's a masterclass in neutralising the champion and nicking rounds. Ugly but effective. And just to reiterate, the fact Fury went to Germany and did it makes it even more of an achievement, just like he went to USA to fight Wilder. You can't fault him on that

I don't fault him. He went over and I had him winning easy. Klit had this hold style during that period of time and Fury with those long arms made it difficult. I was glad that Fury one so the landscape would change but after that Fury had all those problems and retired.

Yeah, he stunk out the place a little less than Wladimir that night but lets be honest. Wlad wasn't even the same going back to the Jennings fight. It was clear that his reflexes had suffered. Both Fury and AJ deserve credit but lets not act like Fury's win was as impressive as AJ's and lets not act like AJ beat the closer to prime Wlad.

Hey Fury...both of you ''fought'' like old timers !!!!

The worst hw fight in the past 100 years and you're 1/2 to blame.

Fury barely out boxed an old Wlad, and I mean literally barely by just outlanding by like an average of 2-3 more punches per round. It was a snooze fest and anti climatic.

AJ on the other hand went in and KOed Wlad, that’s the difference.

That same old wlad wilder was scared to fight....two warriors did it back to back and the yanks are crying fowl cos their boy wasn't involved. No one cares, that's history now.

Yeah, it was a masterclass fight. I like to rewatch it over and over.
