If Deontay KOs Fury, Joshua, Usyk, Ruiz, etc then he will be ATG

Seal the division (Ruiz-Joshua winner will likely have the two mandatories before any unification), and clean out the current crop (Yoka, DuBois, Joyce, Hunter, Kownacki, etc).

Regardless of what you think of his style, he does that and his ticket is stamped; then you'd have to rank him against history.

Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, Vitali Klitschko, and that's still leaving out a ton of folks.
Right. There’s one concept where we measure careers as a whole. But also how maybe we’d place odds for someone against the best in history. I think Vitali has a good shot vs anyone who ever lived. If Wilder beats Fury, and it’s not sum sort of debacle, I’d have to consider he deserves close odds on anyone in history also.

Wilder is nowhere near being considered an ATG. He's a little bit too old now, IMO, to recover his resume to the point where he has fought the best opponents, consistently.

IMHO, The bar has been raised with Fury & Joshua (and even Ruiz) being current or former Unified World Champions. Its no longer good enough to be a single belt holder. In that regard, Wilder is no better than Joseph Parker or Charles Martin.

AND considering Wilder has been talking about 'One Champion' for a while now yet he is no closer to being even a Unified Champion, it moves him further from any kind of all-time status.

Shelly Finkel didn't do him any favours by publically stating he wasn't ready to fight Klitschko, even after 30-something fights.
Good point, if you only have one belt, you need a bunch of quality defenses in that stretch to make an argument against or over multiple title holders and undisputed champions.

I don't consider Fury an ATG, so KO'ing him doesn't make anyone an ATG.

I think we can all agree that with Fury being the boxer and Wilder being the brawler, the chances statistically of Wilder KOing him are low, so if he pulls it off, where does it propel him?
He would have to clean out the division first before any potential ATG mentions. Same goes for Fury and AJ.

Lol@ Usyk already being mentioned as a HW elite. WTF has he done?

By this logic AJ could never be an ATG, since he was unable to KO Ruiz in two fights, even less so since he was actually the one KTFO.

When AJ defeats Pulev the Bulgarian Barbarian, he surpasses Lennox Lewis on the ATG list.
