    kov wins imo

canelo still was benefiting from the ped use in the ggg rematch

he didnt stop a drained chavez jr

i think they think its gonna be easier than it is to get to kova's body

canelo is not a 175 pounder and kova is a big one

bookies are waaay off having kova at 4/1

You have some really serious questions about Canelo/GGG that need to be answered.
      Is he pulling a Mikey???
Anyway without that question mark I agree if no restrictions then this is a great fight to make and huge points to Canelo for making it.
It will be an uphill struggle for Kov to win this fight especially straight after a very taxing fight and Nelo finishing his cycle.
We shall see if the drug cheat can score this knockout or if Kov can knock him out with a jab.
Aslong as Nelo fights GGG in the next year then bring this fight on.

I just wish we had a definitive answer on the weight. If they are not contractually limiting Kovalev I want to put some serious money on Kovalev @ +350.

If anyone actually looks at compubox & followed kovs recent fights they'd notice kov throws a shtton of punches & his output has actually increased & his accuracy has greatly increased his last 2 fights vs the furthest thing from easy opponents.

Alvarez kod him & kov proved me wrong by finally buckling down, hiring & listening to his trainer & suddenly hes put on absolute clinics,& it doesn't get more impressive than winning every rd the guy who kod you the fight before. Imho this kov is the best version of kov,he is no longer 1 dimensional,he has developed excellent defense,& hes making men several yrs younger look like amatuers with no stamina while he landed a career high 44-4 punch disparity vs Yarde in the 10th. Canelo truly has his work cut out for him because for the 1st time Krusher has developed into a lhw killer.

If not for kovs trainer saying he would stop the fight nobody would've said kov almost got stopped,in fact that rd was the only rd Yarde won of the fight, the rest kov won with ease(there was 1 50/50 rd kov shaded), landing almost 2x as much punches vs a very large powerful young lion.
Thanks man...I think there are reasons to question whether Kovalev is 'what he was'...but at the same time, as you pointed out, his win over Alvarez was very impressive, to me at least, and Alvarez may well be top 5, or just about as good as anyone else at 175, and Kovalev put on a clinic against him in fight 2.

If Canelo can have success vs Kov at 175 (and for me it is important that there would be no weight restrictions)...I would be extremely impressed...and I don't think people should say 'well he should have faced Bivol, or Beterbiev or the Nail or Callum Smith'...if he had picked one of those guys, then those same people would have said it was for a reason...you can't have it both ways.

Again, to be fair, Canelo is the A side in all of boxing...so if he picks someone, there is reason to think he sees something in them that he can exploit...but I would favor Kov still against anyone at 175...and if he isn't number 1 there he is still close...matchup wise, if Canelo can last the first half of the fight, it is probably a good matchup for him...but in no way would it be an easy fight imo.

Doesn't matter if Canelo is the cash cow, if you aren't the champ, you walk first.
I tend to agree with you...but Canelo and co. probably just need to slip a few hundred thousand extra Kov's way for the 'insult' and Kov will end up getting announced first...you know the golden rule, after all...

Yeah I just feel they are underestimating Kov...even if he is 80% of what he was...that is still 2 or 3 times Rocky Fielding and Chavez...and they were only at 168!

I also don't understand how Kov is that much of an underdog...I guess sometimes the money just comes in on the superstar/big name, regardless of matchup.

Well said about Mikey man...that is probably the perfect analogy here.

I also am hoping GGG-Nelo is still in the near future...in part because DAZN paid them all that money with the expectation they would fight...I like DAZN's business model, but I'm not a DAZN shill...but come on man, they gave you $350 million Canelo...they want you vs GGG, let's do it.

Legacy wise it is still probably big for both fighters, and I also hope GGG maybe moves up to 168 and challenges there, or even 175.

Yes exactly, that is very pertinent info...I suspect more info will come out in the next week or so...will be impossible to keep all of that under wraps, I would think.

I rate Alvarez quite highly, always have...Kov's dominance over him was impressive...he could have looked a little more dominant vs Yarde, but I was impressed with Yarde in that fight as well.

Kov may be 80% of what he was, he may be 90%. I don't think he is much less than that and probably not a best version, but to me that is due to his poor stamina which appears to be affecting him now more than in previous years.
