i'd pick braithewaite, bell, mormeck, cunningham, and Haye against him right now. Not very impressed with Guillermo Jones. He should maybe fight him or Johnny Nelson. Maybe Kelvin Davis. Actually he should probably fight all of them and maybe Jirov if he's still around. That'd get him some good quality wins to get him fully prepared for that top level. And actually he could probably give Haye a great run.

i was thinking a matchup between him and haye would be a great one for obvious reasons, steward is a shrewd manager though, he will do whatever is best for banks.

you guys made really good posts but I look at his record and look at ES and know this kid is only going to fight agienst tough opponents he can beat and that is emanual stewards style as a trainer. He will fight 2 more times this year. One a competivtive fight with a fighter like felix cora or kelvin davis both winable fight and his next will be an elimanator and hw will fight for a blet in march. 2 more wins agienst quality guys and he will bring his own fans and money to the table so he does not have to take the small end. He will fight bell or the winner of jones cunningham or bell. He will slighly dodge haye and nelson is not going to want to fight him the guy will take his manditories tell his hands fall of and be a great grandpaul.

hill will surely not give banks any kind of shot, in fact there was an artcile on the front page not too long ago saying hill was thinking about fighting henry maske for a second time when the guy has been retired for 10 years. i think eventually hill will vacate and there will be an opening here for guys like banks, mormeck, braihwaite, haye. also someone has to fight for the IBF eventually, is guillermo jones still have first shot or is cunningham gonna move on to someone else??

I think he will be marketable big time even on this board he has a big following and gets much respect and he fights out of kronk and is trained by manny he brings a lot to the table if he fights the guys I said or similar guys. anyone saying he will fight haye is dreaming though. Not that he can't possibly beat him but manny is going to let that fight marinate and in late 07 there will be a unification match between the two.

Banks is just 12-0, no need to rush him. This was a great comeback performance. Comeback fight of the year so far, I think. I was more impressed with his ability to survive personally, especially since he was just 11-0 as a pro. Then turning it around was the icing on the cake, to throw another cliche. He learned a lot more in that 1 fight than many guys learn in their first 20 or so fights.

Banks' power is probably good but I didn't feel Castillo had a great chin anyhow. Still, Banks had to get to that chin in order to check it and make it bounce.

lol, great line. i totally agree with u. i like banks a lot, and i hope he keeps climbing the rankings. not only is he skilled, but he also has a style which tends to be pretty exciting, as shown by that fight

between hill and nelson half the belts arent even being vied for by the top caliber fighters.

the IBF is in constant limbo cause no one can make it to the fight date without something happeneing..

none of the top guys are even fighting for a belt right now. all the best matchups would be title eliminators and not title bouts. its pretty ass backwards to me.

manny will not offer hill the fight, manny is very conscious of the game and will not put hill in that possition. Manny does not want to beat hill he wants to see him retire on top with a belt and retire, thats the way manny seams to think.
