If the ref did a poor job it was by giving Joshua too much time. The ref gave Joshua every opportunity to continue, and Joshua couldn't continue. But he didn't quit, he was hurt.

If the ref would have let it continue it's not improbable that he would have been violently knocked out soon after.
Good points. You're right about the ref giving AJ too much time, if he had survived and came back to win, that would have been the big story..
Ultimately the ref has to take care of the fighter and this time he decided the fighter was finished.

He was gassed and was trying to buy time.

        Obviously.

        Wouldn't have mattered, though, imho.

        It wasn't his night.

Not liking Joshua’s mentality coming into the rematch!

He’s too calm and assured with everything he’s saying!

He could be right as he was concussed most of the fight and completely low in the tank but Ruiz is coming even hungrier cuz he loves the shine he’s getting and wants it for keeps!

Joshua must not allow the ref or his corner take control of the fight!

Prepare better and focus on your strengths, not enough time to try and fix weaknesses!

X factors in this fight is Joshua’s hunger and Ruiz’s heart

Foaming at the mouth will do him no good.
A calm head will prevail. Will reduce mistakes brought on by mindless rage.
