why does everyone pretend Canelo is moving up two weight classes?

He’s moving up one weight class.

Two of his last five fights have been at super middleweight.

Why are we pretending he’s doing something he’s not?

Better question, why does everyone pretend like he isnt a drugs cheat and a diva. I notice his antics are often swept under the rug.

Maybe because the diva's boxing's cash cow and you can get away with almost anything when you're bringing in the dollars.

But what does him being the cash cow have to do with fans giving him a free pass? I see some people on here heavily criticising drugs cheats or suspected cheats but they go very quiet when we mention Canelo, very strange...

Yea I agree its kinda bs.

This is the same think people were doing to make Mikey fighting Spence to seem crazy, but Mikey had won a belt at 140 so the natural progression for a multi-belt guy was Spence. Same thing here. Canelo won a belt at 168 already.

Technically I guess if your last fight was a 126 & your next fight is at 135 you jumped two divisions, but I think this is less legit of a thing if that guy had won a 130lb belt the previous fight. When you are proven in a division under the division it feels more like you are just continuing the move up.

SSM legit jumped 2 divisions iirc he just didnt jump right into a title fight, but that was still a legit leap over a division which neither Mikey did nor would Canelo be doing.
