Fair enough. But he had to go to Saudi to do it. Both of those guys (Alvarez/Joshua) fight on DAZN. Which do you think got the richer deal? That would be a pretty solid indicator on which is more popular.

Canelo got 11 fights 365 Mil by himself. (5 years or so)

Hearn got 1 billion for his whole promotional company for including Joshua for 8 years (16 fights or so)

Guess it is up for debate. I still think Canelo is globally more popular, starting with the fact that he is more popular in the most important market.

I think in terms of familiarity with a fighter, you are right about Manny. Everyone on the planet knows who he is.

It’s simple, the best heavyweight would be the man that beats all the others and at the moment, that’s nobody.
Nobody on the ladder, nobody unifying. For me, at the moment it’s wilder without a doubt. Tony Joshua got beaten, fury got kod by wilder and the tubby fellah got lucky BUT....is the holder of a number of belts so, assuming he wins a rematch with AJ (which he won’t) then it’s gotta be a unification bout with wilder.

Well we're talking about stars relative to boxing. If a HW can unify the division, I think boxing fans will regonize them as stars especially their already existing fan base.

The basis of a boxer becoming a star is challenging the best and beating them.

Overall, I think the biggest stars of boxing are the ones keeping the sport alive by continuously raising the bar and coming out victorious. And they can all be ranked by who is doing this most often.
