Fair enough. But he had to go to Saudi to do it. Both of those guys (Alvarez/Joshua) fight on DAZN. Which do you think got the richer deal? That would be a pretty solid indicator on which is more popular.

Canelo got 11 fights 365 Mil by himself. (5 years or so)

Hearn got 1 billion for his whole promotional company for including Joshua for 8 years (16 fights or so)

Guess it is up for debate. I still think Canelo is globally more popular, starting with the fact that he is more popular in the most important market.

I think in terms of familiarity with a fighter, you are right about Manny. Everyone on the planet knows who he is.

So fine, I will eat my hat here. Manny is probably the most popular active fighter in the world, even though he no longer demands the most $$$.

The winner has to get through Wilder or Fury then maybe be second.

Joshua vs. Ruiz winner number one P4P?
        No way.
Remember Crawford, Lomachenko, Canelo, Spence Jr, Nayoa Inoue, Oleksandr Usyk and...

Wilder's career/profile has dropped off a cliff since AJ's loss and Fury is happy with exhibition matches.

Wrong again Hearns. Who do you think you’re fooling? We all know that it’s Wilder, then Fury as far as the heavyweights

Hearn stop with the spin. The real soundbite is if Joshua loses he is a b-class contender on his way to gatekeeper. Stop worrying bout getting AJ’s status back and focus on saving his career.

It’s simple, the best heavyweight would be the man that beats all the others and at the moment, that’s nobody.
Nobody on the ladder, nobody unifying. For me, at the moment it’s wilder without a doubt. Tony Joshua got beaten, fury got kod by wilder and the tubby fellah got lucky BUT....is the holder of a number of belts so, assuming he wins a rematch with AJ (which he won’t) then it’s gotta be a unification bout with wilder.
Forget fury because he’s just doin stuff with fringe contenders to look like he’s a somebody when in actual fact he’s not. Walk him down and catch the kunt and it’s lights out, just like with wilder.
Joshua, in a good position as far as I can see, the “Americans” will want to see a wilder fight when he takes the titles back.
I’m guessing that could be the Hearn plan which leaves the ***** either still doing the bum of the month fights (he’s the bum) with more nobodies.
Ya know it’s funny, he actually said he would donate his purse from the wilder fight to charity as he had no need for money and that it didn’t matter. Following that statement, he signs a deal for a streak of fights(knowing to stay safe) and challenges other bums.
Anyone who can’t see this is a fool.
Wilder by BIG ko early in the rematch.
Joshua by ko in the rematch.
Fury to continue just being a cheap *****.

On what basis? What basis are they the biggest stars in boxing. They’re not stars.

Well we're talking about stars relative to boxing. If a HW can unify the division, I think boxing fans will regonize them as stars especially their already existing fan base.

                    Another perspective.

The basis of a boxer becoming a star is challenging the best and beating them.

Overall, I think the biggest stars of boxing are the ones keeping the sport alive by continuously raising the bar and coming out victorious. And they can all be ranked by who is doing this most often.

Fury would wipe the ring with AJ and Ruiz. Stops them both.
