I hope you guys know most Americans don’t even know who Canelo is. I don’t know why people keep pushing that lie he’s not big star in America or Europe.

Most Americans know DeLa Hoya over Canelo. One reason is ENGLISH!

Deontay could be bigger if they would market it more.

Yea, but... Europe doesn’t compare to the US. If it did then all the big fights would happen there. All the top fighters would be clamoring to fight there. Clearly we know it’s the other way around. Canelo is hands down the most popular active fighter in the sport, and nothing that happens in Saudi is going to change that.

So if Hearn meant to say the winner would be the most popular fighter in European boxing, I guess he’s right. And Pacquiao is the most popular in Asian boxing. Who cares ? It’s Canelo all the way. If you don’t believe it, check the cash register.

Floyd and Pacquiao are well known in Europe between casuals, but they are not seen as stars. perception of boxing is different there. People find it difficult to understand how is someone with 147 lbs "a big boxing star".

Ali ( Rip), Mike Tyson, Holyfield, Klitschkos are superstars there. Even Wilder and Fury.

The cash register says AJ is set to make $50M+ his next fight, and Canelo will make $32M.

AJ is already the most well known star in boxing (whatever that means in 2019), soon he will become the richest too and overtake Canelo in that regard.

Honestly I kinda don’t believe that. Definitely not over manny and maybe not even Joshua.

Minus the definition of what you said.

if you walk around holding a poster of Floyd and of Joshua who would people know more across Europe. We already know the answer in America.

                    For once

Hearn is right. The winner DOES become the biggest star. Saul has been the biggest NAME in boxing, but this fight, imo, makes the winner the biggest star. Andy, if he wins, becomes the best Heavyweight in the world. AJ, if he wins, regains the top spot in the Heavyweight division.
