I think he does not view AJ as a threat, it's the opposite of the first fight, and that's why AJ could swallow Ruiz in December, it's very possible on that fact alone.

In the meantime, AJ has lost a considerable amount of weight, he looks like a different person.
I think AJ is going for slickness and speed in the rematch. I'm sure he and his team have watched the fight over and over again to see what they need. He took Ruiz lightly and paid for it the first time. That will not happen this time around. I think you add that, plus the victory tour that Ruiz has been on, and it will lead to bad news for Ruiz on fight night. Possibly really bad. And if AJ goes to the body, Ruiz will really be done. I just think it is funny that Ruiz has somehow become this unbeatable monster since the first fight and guys are actually saying he shouldn't get into better shape for the fight hahaha. How ****** is that?

Hate to quibble but the 2lb a month loss is only a valid benchmark if he has been trying to lose weight the whole six months. The way I look at it is he probably weighs about 275lbs now and plans on being at 255lbs on fight night. That's a 20lb weight loss in about four months or 5lbs a month. That's a meaningful reduction in weight done in the proper manner so it shouldn't sap his strength and he should be a tad quicker. Now the question is, will he do it?

Ruiz is fat as hell. He is only 6'-2''

If you remember when Lennox Lewis was 38, old and "fat", I think he was around 250-255 for his final fight and for his fight with Rahman. But lewis was like 6'-6''

Ruiz was 268 and 6-2 AFTER a full fight camp, so he is nearing 300lbs his walk around weight, morbidly obese.

Shows just how overrated AJ really was that he was brutally knocked out by this morbidly obese midget.

Well he is off to a Terrible Start...

No but Andy gets a full Training Camp (as does AJ) to prepare so it will be interesting to see what both fighters come up with for the rematch

Should be easier to lose weight when you’re fat. My weight fluctuates at 10 lbs. But let’s be honest. Fat boy can box! What good is being fit with muscles if you can’t box. Might as well go to UFC where skills don’t matter, just brute strength.

I bet Ruiz is heavier if anything. Money will make any mfer soft or softer. He has never been disciplined when it comes to his weight anyway as far as I can tell. He is a just a fat mfer who can throw hands. If he got in shape he would be a hell of a SMW though.

He'll have to focus a bit on weight loss because he's pushing 3 bills right now. My guess is he comes in at 270 after 3 months training, so approximately 30 pounds to lose.

At the end of the day whatever Ruiz is doing up to this point is working for him. I know plenty of amazing looking bodybuilders who I'm sure have absolutely zero endurance. I've seen plenty of firefighters, divers, etc who don't look the part who will work circles around people who "look the part." I race triathlons (previously played plenty of sports but otherwise lifted weights almost exclusively). I had ZERO endurance even though I looked the part. I'd love to know how far Joshua can swim or how long he can run after riding a bike 50 miles. I promise you he wouldn't be gassing out if he did some endurance training. Sure the hell didn't get looking like that from doing extra sparring or running. Still can't understand how Ruiz can look like such a ****house though. I have veins in my stomach at 43, and that's simply a by-product of the training I do, not because I ever go to the beach and want to show off. It really is amazing he's able to do what he does. I can only imagine if he were more disciplined and maximized his talents.
