Maybe Ruiz knows it was a fluke so he’s been living it up eating all the lobster and steak he can.
Either way I predict he’ll lose and the trilogy happens

True that! Big arms become heavy real quick.

I race triathlons (previously played plenty of sports but otherwise lifted weights almost exclusively). I had ZERO endurance even though I looked the part. I'd love to know how far Joshua can swim or how long he can run after riding a bike 50 miles. I promise you he wouldn't be gassing out if he did some endurance training. Sure the hell didn't get looking like that from doing extra sparring or running. Still can't understand how Ruiz can look like such a ****house though. I have veins in my stomach at 43, and that's simply a by-product of the training I do, not because I ever go to the beach and want to show off. It really is amazing he's able to do what he does. I can only imagine if he were more disciplined and maximized his talents.
AJ is Nigerian so he is genetically muscular. He doesn’t have to work as hard for it as most people. I was in tech school in the Air Force with a Nigerian dude who looked like a bodybuilder and the guy had never lifted weights in his life. He didn’t even like PT.

Was extremely satisfying seeing a ref referee a fight properly. And not letting AJ have his usual 2 minute tea break when he spits his mouth guard.

The cheating he gets away with in the UK with his mouth gaurd and tape coming off gloves at critical times, mid round, is amazing.

Did you watch the fight? No fluke, completely out classed, battered around the ring, literally gave up in the corner and almost cried.

AJ quits even sooner in rematch.

I can only think of one time where Ruiz has "come back" in better shape after a layoff.

I remember years back he posted some pic on IG in the mountains and he looked like he had put in some work and he was slimmed down.

Not sure it really matters with him though - I always hoped he could get in better shape and got frustrated at times but none of that has really held him back. I remember seeing him fight with a knee brace a cpl years ago and thought it might be weight related but doesn't seem like an issue. Could easily be undefeated right now while being fat

You're assuming he stayed at 268. The article said he appears noticeably heavier than when he fought Joshua. He's likely going to have to cut 20-30 pounds to make 255.

Anthony Joshua was beating the **** out of Andy Ruiz before he tried to blitz him and got caught when playing dueling pistols with the quicker draw.

Being 268 didn't help that; 255lbs will definitely help, but it won't change the fact that the styles are against him.
