Is Putting BJS On The Logan Paul vs KSI II Card A Good Decision
Collapse

For BJS Hell No! Awful Decision actually. I don't think NO Professional World Champion should play undercard to a f#cking White Collar Boxing Main Event that sh#t is insulting!
I think they should go with the YOUNG fighters and prospects on that Card who are more of KSI and Logan Paul Demo:
Agree maybe have Josh Kelly on the Card that would be a good move since he is closer to that Demo I think he is about the same age as Logan Paul and KSI
Others:
Devin Haney 20
Conor Benn 22
Diego Pacheco 19
Ammo Williams 23
Viddal Riley 22 (KSI Trainer but is a Pro Fighter)
Raymond Ford 20
Otha Jones 19
Guys like that!
Look, lets be realistic here, you're NOT going to turn KSI and Logan Paul fans into Boxing Fans it is just not going to happen they don't have the attention span for this damn sport. These kids will be Texting or off somewhere in and around the Staples Center waiting for KSI vs Logan Paul to start. I doubt most of them are going to sit and watch the rest of the Card because it will be guys they don't know. They watched the Undercard for the other event because on that Undercard was a lot of other very popular youtubers they also knew and are fans of
I'm sure DAZN is paying KSI and Logan Paul a ton of money because honestly, neither of them even needed DAZN or Eddie Hearn to promoter their rematch it was already going to do very well. So this is more DAZN and Eddie Hearn trying to piggyback off of their own success for their own Gain and Eddie to his Credit basically admits that.
BJS is not a style you want to use to try and get younger fans to watch boxing more. You want Prospects and Showcase Fights with young guys destroying their opponent and the Card moving fast because again this is a much younger demo than usual whom most of them have a SH#T attention span

I’m a fan of his but he’s more for the purist. I think Haney is going on the undercard too.
I wouldn’t say BJS is the kind of fighter to put on a card for this kinda crowd but at the same time, how often do you get exposure to millions of young people so easily?
If he gets an easy opponent and can showboat and show his box of tricks like he did with Lemieux, they might enjoy thatLast edited by deathofaclown; 09-05-2019, 02:24 PM.Comment

Lol solid point that Ive thought about but hadnt brought up. Why the f#ck would BJS even agree to be a co-main to a couple Youtubers making their pro debut???
BJS being co-main makes no f#cking sense to me, but him agreeing to it makes even less sense to me.
I agree with the young guy-centric card you bring up obviously, but I couldnt disagree with you more here. Everyone loves a fight. I think this fight properly done is great 1st exposure to many non-boxing people to turn them into boxing people. In fact Im positive in 20 years there is gonna be the 2039 verision of Larry or Beer or you or I who will be embarrassingly talking about the first pro fight they remember is this wonky ass Paul vs KSI II fight. The only thing Im interested in & think is in question is the number of people who have that future 1st fight story.Look, lets be realistic here, you're NOT going to turn KSI and Logan Paul fans into Boxing Fans it is just not going to happen they don't have the attention span for this damn sport.
I'd agree with you here. Gonna be interesting to hear the money details for this one & this will have to be the biggest purse ever for two guys making their pro debut.I'm sure DAZN is paying KSI and Logan Paul a ton of money because honestly, neither of them even needed DAZN or Eddie Hearn to promoter their rematch it was already going to do very well.
I definitely agree with you here & thats why Im bringing up this cuz Eddie & DAZN need to try any means possible to minimize the churn after this fight. That should be their #1 goal between now & that fight happening. So this is more DAZN and Eddie Hearn trying to piggyback off of their own success for their own Gain and Eddie to his Credit basically admits that.Comment

Honestly I think this would be the equivalent of the ufc sending mcgregor, khabib, and Jon Jones over to boxing.
It would make the the ufc look inferior to boxing while there top guys get slaughtered to the superior boxers. That’s why the ufc blocked mayweather khabib fight.
But to have professional boxers fighting on the undercard of youtubers will send a clear message that boxing is a fallen sport that only gets attention when something like this happens.Comment

Are you pretending this doesnt happen all the time? Mickey Rourke had a boxing career. Butterbean got a f#cking 4 rd championship belt made for him. That football player boxed in those fixed fights in the 90s. Ed Too Tall Jones boxed. Kimbo Slice fought. Boxing has had hundreds of novelty fighters. Its a free market sport unlike any other. You or I could turn pro tomorrow & buy our way to a 30-0 record. For better or worse thats the way boxing works.Comment
