Hatton should fight Mayweather

Hatton doesn't want to fight Mayweather. His team knows it will cost him his undefeated record.

i dont think hatton "ducked" mayweather, he just doesnt feel ready for him yet. Like, when a person says a fighter ducked another fighter, i think that "ducked" means he was afraid to fight him and thus avoided him.

In this case, the younger hatton hasnt fought the competition that mayweather has, and he didn't feel ready to fight him at the time. i think if mayweather offered hatton a fight now, hatton would jump on. I still dont think hes ready, but im pretty sure he will be eventually.

i guess u could say hatton ducked mayweather, but it seems like he's just holding onto that option for when he is more ready. you know?

And a lot of people think hatton will lose to mayweather STRICTLY based on hattons performance against collazo. This is injustified. He jumped up in weight and faced a southpaw, and i thought he handled himself very well even if it was in an almost losing effort. Gatti tried the same thing (except it wasnt even against a southpaw) and he got knocked out. thats proof of how hard it is to do.

Hatton needs another fight or so to get used to the 147 weight before he takes on mayweather. I think he SHOULD take on urka in december, but nobody wants to see that and the risk/reward in this case makes no sense what so ever!!!

why is time running out. his style allows his prime to be shorter, but hes got until he's 30 until he has to change his style. and considering he is only 27-28 right now, he's got plenty of time to defend his title, and take on mayweather AFTER all his "superfights" with mosley and DLH

No one is avoiding anyone. Hatton has said how small Mayweather is and that he could beat him. Mayweather doesn't rate Hatton that much. They aren't avoiding each other. This fight will happen. It just wont happen any time soon. The potential money in the fight will make it happen. At 147 Hatton will lose. At 140, he has a very good chance of beating Mayweather.

Ricky Hatton should fight Mayweather next.

My mate Dave has know Hatton since they were kids and has said Mayweather has been offered a very good deal to fight but is not taking it. I don't blame Mayweather. He would ruin his reputation if he fought Hatton. Hatton would walk through Mayweather's punches and destroy (and maybe retire) him.

Hatton has the better chin, punching power and most importantly a much bigger heart. I hope for fight fans around the globe, Mayweather stops ducking him.

i just have a question. we ALL have heard or seen Mayweather PUBLICLY call out Shane and Oscar..has he PUBLICLY called out Hatton?..Hatton was undisputed light welter while Floyd picked up a belt from Gatti..

hatton aint ducking mayweather just as mayweather aint ducking hatton.
there both undefeated and can both make huge cash fighting different people. at this moment in time its ego versus brains.
floyds ego wont let himself lose extra cash on the purse and ray hattons brain dont want to lose cash on the purse cause on the risk of the fight it could be rickys last huge payday.
so when hatton as got as big of a name in america has hes got here there will be a purse to accomadate both fighters bank account.
and until 1 team buckles on there demands or promoters stump up enough cash to see this fight it aint gonna happen
ducking is been affraid of somebody. we all know hatton aint affraid of mayweather and i think we all know that it cuts both ways
