    Hatton should fight Mayweather

Ricky Hatton should fight Mayweather next.

My mate Dave has know Hatton since they were kids and has said Mayweather has been offered a very good deal to fight but is not taking it. I don't blame Mayweather. He would ruin his reputation if he fought Hatton. Hatton would walk through Mayweather's punches and destroy (and maybe retire) him.

Hatton has the better chin, punching power and most importantly a much bigger heart. I hope for fight fans around the globe, Mayweather stops ducking him.

other way around. hatton has been avoiding mayweather for years. I think hatton should take this fight as well, but there is no way he makes mayweather even THINK about retirement, especially since he has mosley and DLH fights on the horizon.

I also think hatton could beat him, but for some reason there is no boxing analyst out their that thinks hatton has a chance. i think he's got a good one.

But there is also the large possibility that mayweather gets a UD off hatton, and utterly embarrasses him. I doubt he could knock hatton out, i just doubt it.

I got to disagree. Hatton plays right into Floyd's style. Hatton is a strictly come forward fighter that has proved very easy to hit. Floyd has the best defense in the game and his chin is underrated but most importantly his speed and movement would give Hatton fits. You also are forgetting how easily that Hatton cuts. I see Floyd winning a comfortable UD or TKO. Beating Koz really impressed me, but this is a different kind of fight against a different kind of fighter.

you must of seen all these threads about floyd ducking marg and decided to start some bull**** of your own. hatton is the one not taking the fight with mayweather not the other way around. i would defenitely like to see this fight happen but your insane if you think hatton would destroy floyd. floyd would win by stopping hatton on cuts or by wide decision.

very true, but the sad thing about it is floyd gets all this hating on him for ducking or avoiding fighters but when a fighter avoids him there's nothing said about that.

Before the Collazo fight there was more talk on here about Hatton potentially beating Mayweather than there was about Margarito doing the same, but since then it has become (not without reason) taboo to pick Hatton against anyone.

I totally feel you. All of the hating against every fighter should stop. Just because two guys can't get a deal made doesn't necessarily mean that one is avoiding the other. Both of these guys are young and still undefeated. If the fight doesn't get made while they are in their primes then I will acknowledge avoidance. For instance (and I am not giving any opinion) but RJJ and Darius M. never fought each other. There I can safely say somebody avoided somebody or they both avoided each other. Margarito, Floyd, Hatton... all young and still plenty of time for great fights. Patience is a virtue.

I honestly think Hatton would have fought him a long time ago and i think he would fight him now, however management wont let him near floyd, so they **** hatton with these weak defenses in all honesty.
