You forgot when the WBA demoted Machado for no reason. Davis looked like shit against Fonseca. As for Cuellar, he lost to Mares at 126, the fight before his match against Tank 2 years later. How in the blue hell did he get a title shot off a loss in another division and a 2 year layoff?

Mares was already small for a featherweight. Having him move up another division for Davis was a straight cherry pick. Also, Nunez was his mandatory? He literally beat a guy ranked like 400 at 130, before facing Tank. How the fuck did he get the mandatory position?

have you seen gamboa fight lately? hes done. yes he was good. very good. no doubt about that. so was roy jones but when people fight roy jones now we dont pretend hes still good because hes not. gamboa was battered by castellanos, completely robbed jason sosa, and barely got by guys like hylon williams and alexis reyes.

Gamboa was such an exciting fighter to watch in the early days — electrifying, actually. As with Jones, it’s sad to see where he’s gone. I expect the young “Tank” to stop Yuri, possibly before the middle rounds. As you say, there’s really nothing left.
