Well essentially you're only criteria is passing a physical and ability to somewhat fight and take punches. Look at some of these awful journeymen... Some don't even meet those last 2 requirements. Human punching bags.

And, more importantly, how would these guys get a license when Rio Ferdinand - a life long athlete didn't? And I know of no news saying that Rio's license was rejected on health grounds. Or is it CA's commission is more relaxed than BBoC?

Rio was considered too old to start professional boxing by BBBoC. Could have gone to a US commission and waves $$$ about I suppose.
