Motorcity Cobra intervention thread

He's already moved up twice. There is a limit to how much you can move up. Like I said I don't follow Loma but if he wants to try moving up again fine. I don't hold it against him or any other fighter if they don't. I really don't get this obsession with fighters being prodded by fans to move up. It's up to the fighter. Not being able to make weight anymore is the usual reason they move up. Look at Canelo, Floyd, Ward etc. They all moved up because they outgrew their original weight classes.I’ve made the same point many times in the past. A guy can’t make a 50/50 fight if they’re better than everyone at the weight. The only way is to fight someone bigger.
Again, you shouldn’t focus on only one piece but the whole post.
It’s not a criticism of loma. It’s calling out certain guys like daggum that spent years doing the same thing cobra has been doing that made szef create this thread.Comment

You mean I am the only one talking about it directly. You made the same point just indirectly. No big deal.
This site has always had a disgusting underbelly whose sole purpose is unfairly degrading great fighters.Comment

It is only about them moving up because it is assumed doing so will give them a better chance of losing. No more, no less. He's already moved up twice. There is a limit to how much you can move up. No it isnt. No fighter wants to lose. Let's take Canelo a guy you say wants to test himself. Weight restrictions, rehydration clauses older faded champions that his MO. He's not moving up to face better competition he's moving up for the notoriety that beating the opponent brings. If he was moving up to level the playing field there would be no rehydration clauses no weight restrictions and the other fighter would be in his prime. Canelo is no Roberto Duran.. Sorry your bucket has holes in it. Andre admitted making 168 was killing him. He even considered a jump to CW. No way Floyd could even continue fighting as a LW. He outgrew that long ago. Three main reasons fighters move up. Can't make weight. To avoid a guy in their own division. Money/Fame. Id like to add one more. In some cases is plain old fashioned ******ity. I am saying some posters want loma to move up because they think it gives him a better chance to lose.Comment

We can agree that only someone with an agenda doesn’t think loma is a top P4p boxer right now. I think he is a sure fire hof’er.
I think it fair to question ATG status when you haven’t defeated one sure fire hof’er and you lost to the most experienced guy on your resume.
Is someone allowed to make this distinction without being labeled a racist or a Loma hater and have a reasonable discussion with someone that disagrees?
I was asking about outside of NSB because Its abundantly clear you cant within the confines of the forum.Comment

Lomachenko schooled Walters so hard that he made him quit in his corner and yell to the ref that he didn't want anymore lmfaoSzef what is the issue?
Loma is ranked #1 p4p. He keeps fighting not the best opponents. He isn’t taking any 50/50 type fights but all fights where he is the favorite. He didn’t win his last fight by ko or tko. He left 130 without fighting the top guy, Berchelt and instead plans to fight him at “not his best weight. He waited to fight Walters when walters didn’t have the best chance to win. His fans think he is an ATG before he’s even defeated any HOF level opponent. All his wins are getting discredited. The people that do the most criticizing don’t look like him.
Funny, but I’ve seen NSB react like this before to another boxer in a similar position.
Looks like NSB is just doing what it does best. Relax and enjoy the ride! We were always told It’s just fun. Not indicative of a bigger problem like racism or anything. Right?!?
Now go cry in a corner and deal with itComment
