Nothing surprising about that. It's a pretty standard fee for Pacquiao.

Bob would never pay him that amount of money at this current stage of his career in a million years. He believes that Pac is all used up now and should retire.

He did get slept once but it was in a fourth fight and it was almost the law of averages. I always had Floyd to beat Manny. I wouldn’t have him favoured against Spence or Bud, but I think his style is so unique that it’s an adjustment for everyone. I’d love for Bud to fight him and even take him out. I mean we will never know enough of the numbers in boxing to understand anyone’s “worth” like an algorithm. But yeah Mannys worth whatever they will pay him I guess. I heard pac v Thurman did 500k and Spence v Mikey did 350k. Whatever that all means. I’d just like to see the fight happen. If I can’t see Spence v Bud, I guess mannys the next best fight. Fight the best try and get paid the most for it.!
Personally, I like Pac. He has a very fan friendly style. But his excuses during the 1st May fight.....and his fans who try to dismiss those excuses or outright deny they ever happened.

Imho, had Pac faced capable southpaws, he wouldn't be so special. He has the recipe for maneuvering around the orthodox guys he faces (most of which had little power).

Shame that Manny stayed with TR so long. He should have followed May to freedom and guaranteed riches. 20mil per would be the starting bid.

It's either Bob couldn't afford it

              OR

The thought of Manny getting the upset win and potentially ruining the lucrative Crawford-Spence fight.

I saw Manny before he fought MAB and I told everyone about this guy. All he did was jab jab straight but he was so good at it. Yet I knew Floyd from his first fight, used to call him the last of the undefeateds. His style is all wrong for everybody. This isn’t bragging because it was obvious how good both guys were. I don’t think anyone who thought manny would beat up Floyd was really being honest with themselves. I agree with you on southpaws, they are rare to everyone. Every fighter sees more right handed fighters. Things could very well be different if things were reversed.

I believe it's more of the former than the latter. In order for Bob to secure a $20 mil guarantee for Pac, then Manny would have to do at least a minimum of one million PPV buys.

Bob can afford it but he is not in the business of losing money either. As far as Pac defeating Crawford is concerned; I believe that we all should put the brakes on that kind of talk.

After all, Manny is 40 years old and past his prime. While he did look very impressive in his last outing; However, at the same time he did absorb a lot of punishment in the process.

Moreover, he even gassed in the second half of the fight and that was against a fighter who was nearly knockout in his previous fight and was also recovering from a two year layoff due to an injury; Which affected both his timing and conditioning.

20 mil is a lot, but Crawford needs a name on his resume and Pac is on a strong enough streak that it's harder to say the fight's not competitive. If I was Arum I'd get my wallet out and get this made if Pac really is up to it.

Article says according to the association of the rumor mill. This is BS.
