The Fury vs Povetkin fight was also bad.
Yes, Ward actually said it would be decided in the Championship rounds - as if it was even until the 10th!

A lot of rounds were close. You could give Campbell 1 round or 4 rounds and have no real complaints.

Campbell is good though, i said it would be more competitive than people think. He’s a world class talent that has had some bad luck in his career and never got the momentum.

But you just saw the difference between elite and world class. Still, there won’t be many guys queuing up to fight Luke Campbell.

Spot on. They’re so hard to listen to. I don’t mind Bradley that much but man I miss HBO.

Luke was competitive IN many rounds, but he wasnt winning THE rounds. There is a difference
Ward had it 3-3 going into the 7th. Pretty sure he had it quite close up until the first knockdown too.

Luke countered very well to the body all night. You just sort of want a performance like that to get more credit but rounds are scored in isolation.

Luke only 100% won the 1st round clearly with I think 9/10 being decent rounds for him. So yeah, can't really complain.

But nearly every round he got through with something. If Loma had a weakness to the body himself Luke would have exposed it in the there. Got through with plenty.

He beat a great fighter. Anyone winning Gold Medals in the Olympics is no joke.

Plus, styles make fights. Anyone who has fought knows tall, rangy fighters who are also very very good are tough to beat.

Luke lost a few of the rounds only narrowly, but it all looks the same on the scorecards at the end of the day

I wish people would understand rounds are scored individually. You could theoretically be in a competitive fight and lose 120-108 by coming up just short in every round.

You see this every time a game opponent makes a champ/favorite sweat for it - people actively rooting for the underdog perceive it a schooling upset or 50/50 affair. 4 rounds for Campbell at best. I gave him 3, 117-110. Back to earth, guys. It doesn't mean Campbell didn't have a great showing though. It seems like pretty much every round he got through with something to make you say "damn", even the championship rounds where Loma really turned it up.

To the eyes of a casual it might of looked that way but anyone who knows what they were watching knows loma was carrying the fight and winning pretty easy.
