Do people still think Loma should go to 140?

Chase greatness? The man's a 3-weight world champion with under 20 fights on his record, and is one win away from becoming undisputed at his 3rd weight division. If he does become undisputed, then he doesn't have anything left to prove, in my eyes.
He's already dealing with significantly larger opponents at 135, on top of racking up injuries. Therefore, he'd more than likely run into an early retirement trying to "chase greatness" at 140. If anything, he'd be better off moving down and fighting Davis, if Davis finally decides he wants the smoke.Comment

No, he got hurt by a much bigger man at 135 in Luke Campbell and at 140 the fighters are even bigger, stronger and punches even harder than him.Comment

... and at 140: how a fight vs Viktor Postol would look like a "tune up" there???Comment

That's very true. He is an Olympic Gold medalist. There's no question that Loma would shine against the likes of a gatekeeper as Viktor Postol. However, against the elites of the division like Ramirez, Prograis and Josh Taylor. It would be a real struggle for him.Comment

... Loma barely has a business at 135 -- he's far too small...Comment

I'm not a believer in moves up in weight unless A) there are no more credible opponents to fight at the current weight and / or B) making the current weight has become too difficult. Neither is the case for Loma right now, and honestly he's already fighting a good two divisions above what his ideal weight would probably be.Comment

He only seems to have most trouble with tall, rangy fighters that can keep the jab going all night from a south paw stance.
Even the ones that would give him problems he would probably win on points.
That's why he's p4p.Comment
