I can think of two fighters that have beaten margarito and they are both jr middleweights by the name of rodney jones (#1 contender for wba title) and Daniel "the puerto rican sensation" Santos. Margarito lost those fights to guys his own weight and now like most mexican fighters he is stuck at one weight where he is running out of time just like fernando vargas. You can only drain yourself down for a certain amountof time before it catches up to you, that's why baldo won't be floyd.

Why you talking trash when you are ignorant about Mexican fighters.

Look at Black fighters, Hopkins his whole career stayed at middleweight in fact, he came down in weight from light heavyweight to fight the smaller fighters.

Mosley as an amatur fought at 139 pounds, went pro and squezed himself down to lightweight 135, to fight the smaller fighters.

You got Gatti who killed himself to make 130, 130, and 140 and came in as a middleweight.

Please name which fighters you are refereing too that are stuck at one weight? Margarito started out as a lightweight!

i do understand your stance about margarito taking the fight with rivera but i am not aware of any of the welterweights actively pursuing margarito other then paul williams. i heard about the blank contract that collazo gave to all the welterweights but he just lost to hatton and we have not heard much from his camp.

i do not think margarito - williams would be an all-time great fight either. margarito has power in both hands and he is more stationary and on-balance then paul williams is. he wouldn't have a problem connecting inside.

Heres the Margarito fight that people like to talk about yet, never did see the fight.

Heres Margarito sparring the natural bigger fighter in Rubio.

            please

The Jones fight was years ago, and Tony was outweighed by at least 10 lbs vs Santos, who admittedly blew up to 170+ for their rematch.

Also, Cintron was bigger than Tony. Lewis was as big. Tony has nowhere near the trouble making 147 that Vargas hasmaking 154, period. if you think so, you're just wrong.

You making EXCUSES for your boy
pbf was outweighed by 12lbs when he fought chico and 15lbs when he fought castillo, and he BEAT them both You are admitting that margo cannot beat a fighter bigger than him and that he needs his SIZE advantage to win fights. That is lame and when his body gives out he will have to give in and start fighting guys his own weight

              My boy? Get real, son.

Margarito is not PBF. Marg relies on his size. This is an advantage he has over Floyd that makes things interesting. Maybe you see this and are scared Floyd will lose?

It's not lame, it's part of boxing and always has been. In the old days Floyd would be fighting guys just as big as Tony if not bigger.

                it's the truth

Margarito is lame and until he fights paul williams he will be lame. Margarito likes to trap fighters on the rope and **** to the body, what happens when he has to box in the center of the ring where balance and footwork are required to score effectively? margarito is Starving himself to make 147 since he walks around at 170.

                  Paul Williams?

Haha. Man, get real. Williams is fighting Sharmba Mitchell. Williams is easy to hit and no better than Cintron. And again you are wrong. Margarito is not starving himself according to any source, and he comes in the ring at 160. Baldomir walks around at 188 and fights at 147. That doesn't mean he has problems making weight. Same goes for Margarito, who walks around at a lot less than 188 obviously.

Ill say the same thing to you that I said to big poppa. Pretty much all voulume punchers get hit alot and that also goes for Margarito. His defense is no better then Williams.

I dont know how the fight would play out. I wouldnt be surprised to see Margartio stop him early and thats why I said it could be like Hagler-Hearns, but I also wouldnt be surprised if Williams won. Either way and no matter how long it last, I think it would be non stop action

Margarito is someone I have watched a lot, and his defense is not bad. He holds his hands high and doesn't tire and let his hands drop. As for Williams I am not sure of his D, but it must be suspect from what everyone says. I haven't seen much.

Margarito gets hit, but he gets his reward for taking those hits.
