Comments Thread For: Luke Campbell: One Day You'll Be Bigging Me Up As a Superstar

Luke Campbell says he is relaxed ahead of the biggest night of his career. The 31-year-old former Olympic champion has a huge task when he faces Vasiliy Lomachenko for the WBA, WBA and WBO lightweight titles in London on Saturday night, but he says he is taking things in his stride.

He seems like a decent chap. I don't think he will win, but I expect he will do a lot better than Crolla did.

    Hopefully Loma doesn't wreck him.

Loma is gonna KO him. Campbell is solid & will hold his own for a bit bc of his size but I don't think he has the speed or power to keep Loma off him at all. I like Campbell but if he doesn't keep him at a distance, the lasers are gonna start flying from all over the place on his face. Should be a good scrap while it lasts.

I originally said Loma would KO him within 7 rounds but now I think he'll do it within 5 rounds.

Campbell isn't being realistic. He should be going into the fight knowing that if he does his best and stays composed he will still get stopped. He needs to do something new, something exceptional in training and in the fight to win. Something Loma has never come across before. But it's too late now.

IMO The only fighter who can beat Loma is someone quick who punches hard. I thought Loma looked open many times against Linares.

Campbell has won me over. He is a fun interview. He is a man with a great attitude. He is a fighter with his head on straight.

Lomachenko may solve the third thing I brought up by the mid to late rounds, but the other 2 will hold true no matter how bad he loses.

Campbell is decent, but not on Lomo's level at all.

Linares was the only guy anywhere in & around his division that had the skills, athleticism, hand speed & combination punching to compete with him & still got outclassed(even though he made his mark in parts of the fight). Can't see anybody giving Loma the type of fight Linares gave him.
