I'll wait and see what the terms are, if the fight happens. But Canelo calls the shots.

below 175... that is a waste of a precious fight date

Canelo should probably insist on a catchweight... like everyone else

if he takes that fight at 175 he is a stud

the folks who are whining and crying about a catchweight that has not even happened yet... are they the same bltches who supported Golovkin demanding 164 from Ward?

they are the same bltches... aren't they... ?
I'm surprised at your attitude. You aren't a supporter of catchweight fights. Personally I think catchweight fights for titles or rankings aren't meaningful. Whether it's Golovkin fighting Ward or Canelo fighting Kovalev at a catchweight. If you want the title you should be prepared to fight under the existing rules.

I've read that Kovalev and Andre Ward weigh in near 200 lbs on fight night. Ward stated that it was really hard to make the LHW weight limit and if I recall correctly so did Kovalev. I'd bet that most LHW fighter come in at over 190 lbs and I suspect Canelo would come in weighing almost as much or just as much as most LHW fighters.

If there is no catchweight or rehydration limit I think Canelo would want to come in reasonably light to keep his speed. His punching power most likely isn't going to win the fight. If he tries to come in heavy his already suspect stamina will suffer. Kovalev should jab his head off and practise tying him up when he gets too close. Put his weight on him and wear him out.

Kovalev fight night weights listed move around 182-189. Very far from 190+.

ward said he would fight floyd at 160 yet ducked ggg when ggg said ok ill fight you and even give you 4 pounds. ward ran like a coward. biggest duck in boxing history. ran his mouth then wasn't willing to put up when time came. and this is on top of ducking ggg before and trying to fight pavlik and sartison before hbo busted his ass for not fighting ggg and sidelined him. guess you forgot that part right?

Canelo will try to drain Kovalev down to a weight where he will be weak. He will leverage every advantage. If Kovalev team insist on 175, I don’t think the fight happens.

                      THEY DIDN'T.

Floyd and Canelo fought at under the limit.
Canelo has had more catchweight title fights than Pac.
