Canelo will NOT fight Kovalev at 175

Get real, at 175 Kovalev would destroy him. Canelo couldn’t stop Chavez Jr at 168 or Jacobs at 160, he doesn’t have the power to keep Krusher off of him.

Canelo will try to drain Kovalev down to a weight where he will be weak. He will leverage every advantage. If Kovalev team insist on 175, I don’t think the fight happens.

    It'll probably be like 172

What concerns me the most is if there's a strict rehydration limit.

If Kov's body doesn't have enough water on fight night, he's going to feel awful.

Kovalev shouldn’t agree to anything less...he’s the champion here. I hope he doesn’t whore himself for the payday, but he probably will.

          it still sounds ridiculous

that is why I have no real interest in that fight

Canelo would be ****** to take that fight at 175

and if there is a catchweight... the fight becomes irrelevant

Benavidez/Smith would be much better opponents imho

not because they are more dangerous... because the fights are more credible

if Canelo fights Kovalev at 175... he is a baaaaad man

If Floyd & Manny fought at catch weights, I have no problem with this. Let’s go, Canelo!

Canelo had rehydration for Jacobs. For Kov itll be 172 with a rehydration max of 180

Floyd and Manny are similar in size and both came from lower divisions before becoming 147lbers.

Meanwhile, Kovalev is a career LHW and already 36 years old.

If Canelo won't fight at the full weight without and special 2nd weigh in or other weight draining then he shouldn't fight him at all. If he needs to drain him to win then he is not a true champion. I hope Canelo fights him with no catchweight but we will soon find out.

The fight will be contested at Caneloweight. Krusher can either take it or leave it.
