I thought GIGANTIC G beat him both fights but he will be in the hall of fame on the first ballot. He has been boxing's biggest star for years and that alone will get him into the hall and he has done enough now. If you study who is in the hall of fame lots of those guys did not do anywhere near as much as GGG and Canelo have done.
is canelo's resume already HOF worthy?

Personally I think he’s about good enough for HOF currently with wins over GGG and Cotto.
3 weight champ with one loss to Mayweather. Quite a few good names on his record.
I’m not actually a big Canelo fan but he’s undeniably an excellent fighter and won the second GGG fight imo.
On a side note I don’t think Kovalev’s resume is HOF worthy, which I’ve seen a few posters claim this week.Comment

I think both Canelo and GGG will be in the hall on the first vote. Canelo has never been a unified champ at 154 or 160 because he has never owned all 4 major titles. That's very hard hard to do and only Crawford and Usyk have done it.Comment

Look at the past Hall of Famers, a lo of them don't have a solid body of work....Comment

Unified champion is when you have two of more of the belts. Spence and Porter are unifying next month.
Usyk and Crawford were the UNDISPUTED champions in their respective weight classes when they owned all four belts.Comment

Stop the dumb shet. He beat them all.Comment

Didn’t Hopkins at 160 have all four belts? Calzaghe did win all four but not at the same time.Comment

I am reading that posters believe he is HOF worthy because other HOFers aren't HOF worthy either. That is a very weak answer to the question.
Canelo has not convincingly beaten another potential HOFer. Is he popular? Sure, but so is Vanna White and she just flips letters over.
I would like to see him KO or TKO a Kovalev or a GGG and not win a dubious decision.Comment

The fact you’re saying Trout should have been a draw is laughable. Canelo won clearly and I remember he dropped Trout hard too near the end of the fight.Comment
