Callum Smith on the other hand? ****, half the time I mistakingly call him Caleb Smith now.
To be Fair Usyk is hilarious and charismatic, whereas Smith has the personality of a damp rag.

Go to Top rank move up to 175 and fight the big boys where he belongs would be the best outcome imo.

I suppose the only thing I could say in *****'s defense is the division is weak. Outside Smith, Benavidez, Saunders, Plant and Eubank Jr the division sucks.

If he leaves he should go to the PBC.

Sky/Matchroom will not forgive fighters after they fight on another platform. Ryan Burnett got chewed up and spat out after he fought on ITV, same happened to Ohara Davies after he fought on Channel 5. Selby and DeGale also became a non priority the moment they signed with Haymon.
How do we know it's not tho?

I remember after the WBSS, it was Callum who said he wanted a break

Agreed. So make one of those fights.

Or any fight in the division. Don’t have your guy inactive to a year only to call up a shot middleweight.

I know some of the Smith’s and know people who know them very well.

I also know for a fact Callum pushed for the Saunders fight.

Smith wants a big fight and Matchroom/Sky/Hearn are standing in the way.

Why not make the Saunders fight though?

He chose to take over 6 months out after he had his first child

Also let’s not act like he isn’t being offered fights. Fair enough the BJS offer might not have been enough but why not make a counter offer ?

He had a very willing opponent there who is highly rated and a fellow champ. If Smith wants this kind of opponent and had someone willing, then they should’ve gone back with counter offers.

I see, definitely sucks if he is still holding a grudge for Smith joining the WBSS tournament. But didn't he end up signing Liam after Callum joined the tournament?

Yeah he’s actually done OK with Liam tbf, Paul still works as a pundit for Sky as well and got a tonne of opportunities. It seems to only be Callum who they are holding back.

He took time out then only wanted big fights. I wouldn't feel that sorry for him.
