Why would anyone want to hurt Ruiz? I don’t get that. He isn’t related to anyone in Saudi, he is Mexican by his own mouth, he is fighting there and would probably spend 3/4 weeks give and take in the country. Just like his opponent and his team. So unless a neighbouring country goes into Saudi and take him out, why would Saudis themselves hurt him? He himself just wanted more money, he was never in danger in Saudi. He got what he wanted and he would be fighting there, like you said the Saudis would be dumb to want to hurt him.... And don’t see why they would want to.

There is no reason for any Middle Eastern terror group to target a Mexican boxer. AJ, as a Brit, has more to worry about than Ruiz in that respect. Andy is more likely to be shot at by some white power nationalist nut job in the US than blown up by Arab *********s.

To be fair to Eddie, I entirely agree with him when he said that nobody was concerned about human rights in Saudi Arabia when somebody else held there boxing/golfing tournaments, F1 and so on. But as soon as its Eddie does something, plus Ruiz is whining (he is known defender of women's rights, isn't he?) - we all of a sudden turn into Human Rights watch there.

P.S. I generally agree that such countries should not be given these opportunities unless they improve their records and stop killing people, but this is a concern for the government rather than a boxing promoter who does the best financial deal for himself and his fighter.

I know, it’s just laughable to think anyone would want to hurt Ruiz. If anyone would be a target it would probably be Joshua more so, to be honest I would feel safer in Saudi Arabia than in America myself. And am not even joking.
