I'd take Canelos body attack, he will see where Yarde went wrong and wont worry about gassing out since hes done the dance before many times late rounders. I would be rooting for the older guy however.

just based on size, I have to go with Kovalev, if they were the same size I would go Canelo any day!

not so sure about that ..kovalev took a sustained hammering to his body in the 7th and 8th rounds against a full fledge 175lb and ****er in Yarde.
Personally if kovalev uses that job proper and sits down on his punches properly he will make canelo reluctant.
Kovalev showed real heart and super recovering powers in round 9 to turn the Yarde fight completely around.
If kovalev has a dehydration clause and does what Jacobs did by ignoring it I’ll take kovalev by stoppage late...if he comes in weak then canelo will win.

Yarde only went to the body in those rounds though. Canelo can punch and is a better fighter then Yarde so the size difference is a negotiation here ,giving up that for something else. Yarde was dead tired had he had those round experience he wins that fight. It all depends if you think Kovalev is better then GGG really imop I don't think he is so id give slight edge to Canelo in a slightly easier fight with Kov then he had with GGG.

it’s the sheer size of kovalev that beats canelo...he is not better than Golovkin that’s for sure but he was size evenly matched with triple ggg ..with kovalev he will be dwarfed in terms of reach and size and kovalev jab if he utilizes it proper against canelo will be a nightmare.
Canelo is not in Yardes level in terms of punch power and will have serious problems hurting kovalev.
If it’s even terms in the fight with kovalev not being with drained I’ll take the krusher

                Krusher by KO.

I see the fight going 2 possible ways. Canelo tastes SKs power trying to come inside, backs off & Kovalev picks him apart from outside.

The other is Canelo comes out in full force with a body attack, making himself such a small target that SK can't sit on his punches & land clean.

I've seen some short guys pose taller fighters issues, & Canelo is 5'7 atm. Punching downwards at such a small target can be tricky although SK does have some good experience against Ward.

The key for Sergey is being able to catch Canelo coming inside, if he can do that it's a wrap.

For Canelo it's 100% aggression & being able to actually hurt Kovalev. I'm not convinced he can. I mean Yarde & Alvarez both hit a lot harder than him, and Kov took their shots pretty well.

Canelo by stoppage with body shots after the 5th round but no later than the 8th. Look, they've sparred each other before so Canelo knows he can take Kovalev's power. Plus Ward has given the world the blue print on how to bear Kovalev. In addition to Kovalev visibly slowing down as he ages, this is easy work for Canelo ala Khan. I'd give Canelo no credit for this fight. If Canelo was truly trying to make a statement or stake his claim as a badass, fight Bivol. To me Bivol is the boogieman at 175.

Without a handicap it’s hard to pick Canelo here.

                    I’m picking Canelo here.
