Be careful of Wallin. Im telling you that now.the gap is further obviously here bc Wallin isn't a 50/50 fight but hes extremely resourceful .
If Fury handles Wallin as easily as he handled Schwartz, will you become a Fury fan?

The fact that he made this statement clearly demonstrates he is embarrassed...and with good reason.

The truth is he was no where near prepared for what he was walking into. Hed never faced that level of quality, he had never had to work anywhere near as hard as he would in that fight, his game had not been tested against much lower quality than Kovalevs and Kov has been one of the real beasts of the sport over his career.

That aside he gave it everything and he nearly ended it in the 8th. The fact that it didnt spelt doom from there on as he completely emptied his tank. Was that inexperience or did he really have to give it all to finish it there? I think the latter. But that was that, Kov looked there for the taking for the 1st minute of the 9th but Yarde had nothing and then once Kov started to recharge that was the start of the end.

It frustrated me how he remained competitive through out the early rounds but i just couldnt give him any rounds, competitive but losing them all really up until the 7th i think. He just couldnt do enough against an elite level operator. He just lost to a better fighter, Yarde isnt as good as he thinks he is, his team tell him he is and some fans think. But regarding his efforts in that fight they cant be questioned, he gave it his all down to his last drop of energy and came very close to doing it in the 8th. Nahhh he should not be ashamed nor embarrassed after his performance on Saturday.

Exactly anyone who keeps saying they aren't ashamed or embarrassed obviously is. This was the post fight interview in the ring and the interviewer didn't even mention those things.

In reality he did great. I thought Kov would stop him easily before 7 rounds. Yarde had no chance of winning having never fought past 7 rounds before and having only faced low level fighters. He was lucky it wasn't a heavy stoppage because he can learn so much from that fight now - and early on his career too

I did think wilder was stunned by breazeale, surprised the announcers didn't catch it at the time.

I'm a fan of the sport first so I'll be rooting for Fury but know it should be difficult fight . If Fury handles him easy he's a little better then I thought but me being a big fan will only happen when he fights Wilder because his fan base is hard to stomach and a hard fight with Wallin will get him better prepared.

Fury lies to much and not dedicated to the sport enough for me to be a big fan. I like knockout artists anyway it's my personal taste to how I fight , watching Fury does little for me.

I've seen several comment that this guy went out on his shield. Wrong. He went out on his back door, unable to continue. And I'm being polite in that analogy. He had a nasty attitude going into the fight, and to my knowledge hasn't even apologized for that. Plus... no sparring? Really? Tell me again how many fighters do THAT... even in prep for a regular fight.

Sergey didn't have to fight this guy. He could've went straight for the career high Canelo payday, paying off this one in the meantime. My point being... here we have someone with a swollen ego who needed to be humbled. And he was. But still the reality hasn't sunk into his head. If he's smart, he stops fighting cans altogether, and does a comeback fight or two vs a top 10 LHW. IF he gets past that, then talk of another title shot. Not before. Newsflash: he ain't boxing royalty. Likely at some point, but certainly not now.

Welp most here thought he was shot before the Browne fight... His status looked like to be a Gate Keeper for the remainder of his career... I'm delighted he got a second wind though... Still an outsider among the top dogs unless he really found something new to make a statement... And don't take me wrong... I love the guy...

He will do well at that level, he's got to step in with tougher opponents from here on in. He gave Kov a free ride in the 9th by not doing much due to exhaustion.

Hopefully this is a wake-up call for him, I dont like the persona he has created for himself but I attribute that largely to his camp and the people around him (he doesnt strike me as bright or streetwise) and I feel he has been taken advantage of somewhat.

He needs to be brave and make the necessary changes in order to progress in his career. Having a corner man as dangerous as Tunde is not good for him, nor is not sparring in prep for Kovalev.

He has potential and with the right people around him he could become one of the top guys in the division (though I dont think he ever beats Bivol or Beterbiev). But he is 28 so needs to act now...

If I was a Yarde fan I would also be concerned in regards to how much this fight with Kovalev has taken out of him, where not talking a quick KO/stoppage but a sustained beating against a very heavy-handed fighter.

He showed a good chin and plenty of heart but that kind of beating is career damaging.
