Stop it. The reason why Yarde could go the distance was because he has never gone through wars nor taken damage like elites. Those are advantages, especially when you’re bulked up like that most body shots from the Krusher won’t do much affect. Yarde was trying to counter most of the fight and in the TMT gym he rinsed out the shoulder roll so much like a Broner copykat that he became a C+ level defender against Kovalev while it lasted. He even made Kovalev miss at times in combinations from good fundamental work that’s im sure he learned at TMT Gym.

With all that being said, again, you didn’t watch the Shefat vs BJs fight. Shefat had BJs on his bicycle hurt... you think Kova is inferior to Shefat?

Sorry bud, Kova destroys Saunders. BJS looks horrid above 160+. This means that it’s been BJS weight cutting at an advantage at 160. Look at BJS Regularly on Social Media. He walks around like Cruiser.

Apart from being heavy handed, Kovalev is GREAT boxer on the outside. And he has the best jab by far in boxing. Kovalev can jab from rd 1-12 and beat any boxer. The guy has the Larry Holmes package.

BJS is such a fraud. Dude keeps talking **** but never steps in against an elite opponent.

His biggest win is Lemiuex. He never really goes thru with his call outside and is content beating up on B and C level fighters.

He doesnt have the style to beat Kov. Kovalev seems to have trouble with pressure and BJS is a weak punching pure boxer. Kovalev would walk his ass down and beat him up. Would love to see it

Honestly I do think BJS is a better match up. Closer to weight and I would love to see Kovalev KO him.

BJS would definitely outbox this version of Kovalev. Age catches up with boxers, when predicting a fight you need to take your emotions out of it. And just look at where each boxer is at right there and then. I don’t think BJS stops Kovalev, he would just be BJS, avoid punches, lands a few jabs and move etc

Sure he has some ways to go but he has potential. If he had a proper camp he may have even won, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. But.. we'll see what he does next. I also agree..Great perhaps has too much meaning he's just good.

Not to take away from Yarde but most boxing freaks were cheering and predicted Kovi would win , by knockout to boot
So the fact Yarde almost had him out says to me that Kovi is at 50% if not less of his capabilities at this point of his career
Yarde can be something special , honestly speaking but like you said , much ways to go

He just went 11 rounds against a hungry, talented and very strong fighter in Yarde and got a late KO. Obviously he is past is physical prime but he is not 40 not even close to it so he isnt even really that old.

BJS doesnt push the pace at all. Kovalev's endurance would not be an issue because BJS doesnt have the strength and style to expose that.
