If we take emotions out and look at where each boxer is right now...
Kovalev is the WBO light heavyweight champion.
BJS is beltless and coming off a suspension and a poor showing against an average 168 pounder.
Based off that alone...my vote is for Kovalev.

Yeah I don’t use belts to predict fight outcome, that would be using emotions..

BJ is not serious and is just trolling. No one should take that seriously. He will never step up to fight tough opponents, hence why he will never ever be a great fighter.

Uh. BJS has the WBO 168 belt previously vacated by Gilberto Ramirez that he just won against Isufi in May. You're on the internet...these things are not that hard to double check and verify in lieu of making yourself look ****** (not unlike pretending that you watched Saunders - Isufi and then trying to argue it was anything other than the total shutout the scorecards accurately reflected or that, circus or not). The reason this fight is no danger to Canelo-Kov is $, not Saunders lacking a strap.

So surely this a Matchroom troll-post
The LHW Limit is 175 lbs not 178.5

Dont worry though your ridiculous claim will never be exposed since this loud mouth is all talk and would dare move up to 175.

Kov would starch any opponent BJS faced. I would choose Kovs last 3 opponents to whip BJS.
                Yep... I agree...

Alvarez, Yarde and even Mihalkin would all spark out BJS.

Alvarez would really abuse BJS and Yarde would likely break a few ribs. lol.

Kovalev weakness is his inside game and his endurance/stamina. BJS does not have the style to capitalize on Kovalevs weakness.

Kovalev was out boxing Andre Ward and Bhop (yeah 50 yr old Bhop was still a no joke) from the outside for crying out loud.

Kovalev's length and jab is a such a nightmare to deal with. Ward was able to get inside and work the body, Yarde had success when he was walking Kovalev down.

BJS is a weak punching pure boxer. Kovalev eats those dudes for breakfast. BJS poses no threat to Kovalev at all
                  Spot on.

BJS would have zero chance of beating Kovalev. I'd love to see him attempt to back up his words though.

Lol. Man it surprises me the guys on this site and how they understand boxing.

When BJs fought at 178.5 he was being punked by Andrade that he was fighting at Cruiserweight. Don’t you remember those tweets?

Point is, doesn’t matter what BJs fights at he ain’t gonna beat the Krusher, even if BJs fights at 178.5.. if BJs fought at 178.5 you think he can’t make 175? Derp derp
