My points come across so clearly it gets many in denial. You can’t criticize rehydration clauses when one org in the sport makes the disadvantage firm.
Plenty of people rehydration clauses. The other organizations don't think it's a good idea or they would have implemented it. The IBF got rid of the restriction for title fights because of Danny Jacobs ignoring it for the Golovkin fight. Lemieux had to go to the hospital and could not fight trying to make weight so weight cutting is serious. There has been plenty of debate on whether the IBF policy is healthy for the fighters. If anyone wants to fight for an organization's title they should be prepared to follow their rules.

They got rid of it for Unification fights because other orgs have different policy.

If Canelo wants an IBF rehydration clause for a 175 title fight I'm sure the winner of Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev would be happy to oblige.

Why? You’d still cry the same thing about clauses!

            Don't pretend it's a 50/50 fight, if there's a rehydration clause, it's 100 percent sure that Canelo will win.
... This I like most: "I don't like Kovalev at all"... you don't like him as a "person", it's OK... but, but you also say "he's a great boxer and I respect him as a boxer"...

            ... and that's enough...

Because we are all here only for BOXING, and not for other reasons!!! (For instance, I don't like Russians...)

Many fans say the IBF is one of the “best orgs” because it stands firm on its rules.

If we go by this logic, you can’t fault Canelo, especially if we don’t have any details about the cap limit for the rehydration which is most likely just a morning cut off and then he gain as much as he wants for fight night.

They got rid of it because Jacobs gave up his IBF title in order to avoid
the morning weigh in. Other organizations don't have a rule stopping fighters weighing in the morning of the fight. Golovkin weighed in under their rules but Danny skipped it.

basically the ibf point is, if you cant make a 10 lb rehydration weight the morning of the fight then you are fighting on the wrong division...
kova isnt a big lhw, he will have trouble with a cw, but with a 10 lb re hydration weight he could prob enter the ring close to 190...

100% agree. I also think this should just be a rule for all fights. Without rehydration clauses, fighters take sht to the extreme. This would also force fighters to stay in the divisions they really belong in.

Rehydration clause are meant to protect the integrity of the weight class of which the belt is being fought for, dumbass. It's one of the fairest rules in place and that's what makes IBF a tier above the rest.

The notion that the clause is meant to set a disadvantage is pure ignorance.
