Yea wonky interview. I dig Tunde, but I hate his overconfidence in EVERYTHING he does. Not realizing or accepting their is ALWAYS more to learn seems like it might be a massive hole in his thinking.

If he's never seen Yarde tired he's not working him hard enough. ANY trainer should have taken his fighter to the basic limit of being tired during training ffs. This isn't some hard point to get to.

And if Tunde legit feels the 10th was even he should never trust his scoring ability ever again. Kovalev damn near stopped Yarde in the 10th & several people seemed to think it WAS over.

The fact that he says he'd change nothing is maybe the ******est thing he said. Tunde has some interesting ideas & some good ideas I believe but he needs to look into the mirror every morning & start saying I'm not as smart as I think I am. Tunde need to do some negative affirmations thats how out of control his confidence is. It makes him not as good as he could be as a trainer.

But, I get the same feeling I do with Wilder in that, these guys don't know the science but if they did, they'd be absolute nightmares.
That speak it, believe it, receive it sh^t is real.

I wouldn’t be shocked if he thought people came to see him in the corner.

            ^^^This, exactly.

Yarde is a gym rat, Instagram fighter like Eubank Jnr.

He and his 'coach' are trying to sell a brand instead of developing a boxing champion.

You need to build a brand on a product that actually performs, not spin and hype.

I was not at all surprised at how ragged and clueless Yarde looked eating stiff jabs all night.

No sparring? Crazy! even dangerous, as Yarde's punch resistance looked horrible. He had no control over distance either and his lack of ringcraft would not help him when he got tired either.

IMO it was a very poor performance, harsh but true.

its actually embarassing how low level boxing has become. this was a high profile light heavyweight fight. Michael Spinks would have brutalized these guys. he would have layed a punishing beating on Yarde.

I think this is true a lot of the times. Usually there are too many voices and too many instructions, especially when the fighter is hurt. Seems to be more successful when they stay calm and give clear, concise instructions. Funny how basic common sense can go out the door with so much adrenaline flowing... Like how could your guy possibly remember all 10 things you said after he just got rocked hard.

With a name like Tunde I'm surprised people even take him seriously.. he cannot look beyond himself and make the fight about the fighter not himself.

Yards should get a good trainer and with his physical attributes, he can win a title in a couple of yrs.

The idea that the 10th round was anywhere near being "kind of even" is absurd
