Andre Ward is insanely overrated

The meeting where Golovkin said "Yes" and Ward said "No" because he had a shoulder injury?
From what I've found it seems it was likely early 2013.
Here GGG after Proksa saying yes to fight Ward: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2012/09...ht-andre-ward/(Remove the space)
Ward has shoulder injury: http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/...vlik-fight-off
Here's an article after Rosado-GGG saying Golovkin wants to fight Ward as soon as his shoulder is healed: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2013/01...-ward-in-2013/(remove the space)
In 2013 although Ward did do some talking about Golovkin, he viewed him as an opponent "down the road" and was more focused on rematches with Froch or Kessler, fights that really had no chance of happening outside of each guys respective hometowns, Ward fights Rodriguez.
By 2014 we have this: http://www.boxingnews 24.com/2014/10...ng-andre-ward/(remove the space)
Cotto and Canelo have come onto the scene as possible opponents for Golovkin, if not Froch, Ward is irrelevant as hell and from whatever part of the world Ward is at, he's managing to have his lawyer send letters to HBO saying he wants to fight Golovkin, Ward didn't fight at all in 2014 btw.
Basically if this is true, Golovkin was willing to fight Ward when he was at the top of the mountain. But now is supposedly ducking him.Comment

SplitSeconds article about the pre-negotiation talk... was amusing
the " talk " that happened back in 2013... was amusing
but, when shlt got real in 2015 (which is TWO YEARS later then the 2013 "talk")... where was Bullshltkin... ?
where was Bullshltkin when shlt got real... ?
in June 2015 Mr " anyone from 154-168 " killed the fight over weight
in September 2015, Bullshltkin refused that fight in 36 minutes flat
your version.... is the " talking " version of events
my version... is the " when shlt got real " version of events
Q. where was Timidkin then... when shlt got real... ?
A. he was anxiously awaiting big drama shows with Wade/BrookComment

and was able to get away with the dirty tactics because of where he fought etc.
not really boxing...but he was definitely tough...I think he would have been better at MMA tbh.
Kov is a great boxer imo...but flawed just like every boxer is really...poor stamina which for his physique is inexcusable....
I don't hate Ward or anything...like I said I think he is tough and smart as a fighter...I think he seems like a decent family man too...I do roll my eyes when he talks a lot because he reminds me of friends I have/had...who are fairly smart but say things that aren't really accurate, to try and fit the persona they want to be true.
Honestly I think some of it for him is because he is mixed so he probably struggles to find the right messaging, and struggles with his identity a bit.
and I think that if Ward was from Ghana or somewhere else, and fought the same way, I don't think he would have had the same career at all.
Two of my biggest head-scratchers with Ward were when he fought Bika and Barrera...if I said I saw a clear winner in either of those fights I would be lying...
Correct me on anything that I said was wrong.Comment

I don't like it when fighters are in rush to leave boxing with unbeaten records.
Ward is good he beat some good champs but some champs he beat were overated.
So it's best to fight as wide variety of opponents as possible for people to assess you.Comment

I like a fighter who losses. So people come out of woodwork to say I told you he was overestimated all along. And then the loser comes back to justify the praise they had previously got and in actual fact he really was great and the loss is just a hiccup. There are a million reasons why a fighter loses and it's rarely that they aren't good as the person they lost to.
Pac has satisfied this criteria more than anyone I can think ofComment

So let me get this straight Ward got away with stuff in fights, could've been better at MMA; Kov was poorly conditioned against the two guys who put great pressure on him, and you think that Ward is a decent family man who talks like he has a persona to fit, and struggles with his racial identity, who IF he came from Ghana wouldn't be the man he is today, who also has questionable wins over Bike and Barrera.
Correct me on anything that I said was wrong.
And I would say that Ward wouldn't have received the support and protection if he came from a less heralded boxing country such as Ghana...as a result there would have been less money in promoting him and ensuring that he wins...and I think his matches would have been reffed and scored differently...not really in his favor.
But yes more or less agree with your summary.Comment
