Lol yeah I can relate with some of my posts...nice that some of us will talk boxing and post some predictions and thoughts before and as it is happening though...easy to come out after the fact and say that you called it like that.

Speaking of which...I have a poll to vote on...lol just kidding...this time

That sucks. Had Yarde started a round or two earlier you may have gotten it.

So close. I hate round betting though. I really do. Big money but so fricking hard to pull off.

Canelo will knock Kovalev out with body shots, though I'd love to see the opposite result.

Yarde's total gassing tended to draw attention away from the fact Kov wasn't exactly looking spry the last several rounds. He looked extremely tired and whatever the reason(s), it doesn't bode well for a customary Canelo weight drain piled on top. To say nothing of his Achille's heel - body shots - being Canelo's specialty.

I can't remember last time someone won a fight by decision throwing one punch at a time.
Kov won this fight like his last one: staying (mostly) disciplined behind the jab and taking advantage of openings. Yarde didn't make Kov work enough early, simply a bad game-plan in the first half. Yarde showed a lack of skills and a ton of inexperience.

Canelo usually disappears in those middle rounds.

Canelo will **** that body from round #1
Kovi won’t enjoy that and Canelo will set himself up to power punches
Example today the only time Yarde had success was going to the body and then open up upstairs
Imo , Kovi does not like body shots but much less resistance from power shots to the head
Canelo will smell blood early on and take him out early

Kovalev did well to get that KO. Yarde was doing reasonably well late on despite his lack of experience. Kovalev showed his class though and truly tiled him out. Yarde has a decent chin and good skills at least but he should have boxed at British and European level first.
