Hey man I almost always like your posts...we all see things differently...hell I thought this would be over in 4 for Kov but Yarde surprised me...and Kov looked his age a bit tonight.

All good my man. When I posted that Kovalev was ripping Yarde with jabs and combos, the next round Yarde started killing his body. I thought to myself, "Well, Ill hear about this". lol

Kudos to both. Yarde took a lot of punishment but he never stopped coming forward and if he keeps mentally strong he'll be a contender going forward.

Most impressive thing about Kovalev? His jab-as always but his conditioning. He was in a world of trouble in the eighth, 3/4 more punches and he'd have been on the floor but he got back to his stool and came out in the nineth determined to re-establish his jab and that was exactly what he did.

In the end it was Yarde who gassed and not Kov.

With experience Yarde will get a lot better but the old HoF just had the skills and experience on his side.

So close yet so far away. Disappointed they didn't go hard to the body til the 7th or w/e. I had this fight over by the 7th if they'd made a body attack from round 1 a large part of their strategy. Worse part is Kovalev ****** so bad he couldn't even get Yarde out before the under so my hedge ain't even come through lol. Eh. I'll make it back when Canelo KO's this mofo to the body cuz Canelo's ring IQ is miles ahead of Yarde's & Yarde almost merked this cat.
