in boxing betting that is NOT a clear favorite, trust me on that. Because there are only two horses in the race the odds get amplified. It's not like horse racing. For clear favorite odds see the Loma-Campbell odds where Campbell is 8/1. Kovalev is only a slight favorite here.

Sometimes the odds are effected by the sheer amount of bets made, a fighters odds can get backed in if a lot of money is placed on them (like McGregor vs mayweather, who was eventually backed in to 7/2 which was the same odds Canelo had against mayweather) Brits back with their hearts and have probably laid heavy on Yarde, I’m going to take advantage of the odds and put some money on Kovalev.
I 100% agree with Ward, Kovalev might have faded a little but he’s still pretty much an elite level fighter, you can’t go from fighting C level fighters and bypass any B level fighters or gatekeepers and expect to be prepared for what’s in store this Saturday.
        agree with everything you said

Normally I'd bet against Kovalev if the odds were better for his opponent. I look for ...
          • poor recent performances
          • past prime living on reputation
          • poor discipline
          • struggles to make weight

get 3 out of 4 of those you are in with a shot but the odds on Yarde aren't that great which i'm struggling to understand unless it's simply a case of bookies reducing risk after heavy betting for him

I think Kov may stop him inside 6.

People love to bring up Ward and how he beat the stew out of a quitting Kovalev saying it was dirty. This is boxing and if it's not caught it's good, but to quit is a _itch symptom in my opinion.

I have a feeling that Kov will control the fight and give Yarde a boxing lesson cruising to a clear decision win. Similar to the second Alvarez fight.

Is he wrong that Yardes going from c level opponents to an A minus? Name one Yarde opponent who would be favoured in even a European level title fight.

You’d better stop it with all those facts. People don’t like that type of stuff here.

I think Kovalev's jab is going to be the key to this fight - boxrec lists them both as being 6'0 exactly but I think Kovalev has the longer reach. If he can use that jab to disrupt Yarde's rhythm from distance like he did against Eleider Alvarez then it's possible he can cruise to a decision or wear Yarde down and set him hip for a late knockout. That said, Yarde is capable of faster movement and I think that if he can get in range and get his hands going then it'll be too much for Kovalev to deal with - we've seen recently that Kovalev isn't exactly comfortable under heavy fire lately. Definitely a winnable but challenging fight for both guys, although I'm lowkey hoping Yarde wins and spares us the farce of Kovalev - Canelo later in the year.
